Well, senior year in HS has been a PITA so far! Anyways, my '13 SR5 is getting kinda boring now. I'm planning on de-badging it this weekend, and getting an x-piped/magnaflow muffler, and then a lift a sometime after that.

I'll use proper DIYs for the debadging, but are there any tips that you guys have?

Yeah! That's the DIY/tips I had planned on using! Just wanted to know if there's any other hidden surprises that aren't stated there.

Personally I find Plasti Dipping your emblems and badges looks ten times better than de-badging. Just my opinion though.

Just got my Magnaflow muffler installed!

It was this one if anyone wants to know. It sounds great, NO drone whatsoever. At idle it sounds just a tiny bit deeper than stock, but when you're moving it's deeper and sounds really nice. Really loud and deep at high throttle though. No need for an X-pipe, this is more than enough.

I'm kind of scared of Plasti-dip, so I'd rather just debadge. I know it sounds stupid and that it does come off, but I'm just a little paranoid and don't want to risk trying it and somehow managing to mess something up.

At last post, yes I do know I'm spoiled and have heard it on this forum 1000 times, sorry.

Dental floss works well as well. Use a blow dryer to heat the emblem a little so the glue lets go more easily.. DO NOT USE A HEAT GUN!.

Dental floss is waxed, so it slides easier over the painted surfaces, without leaving marks.

Although as mentioned, fishing line should also do the trick.

If you are going to remove "4RUNNER", you will end up with some small dimples that are molded into the garnish. It is not perfectly smooth. I had a custom billet made for my truck which covers those up.

That looks pretty sweet! I think what I'm going to do is just 3M carbon fiber wrap over where the letters originally were and fill the holes.

IMHO you should just mess around with plastidip until you feel comfortable. Taking off the badges is just going to leave some very bad looking blank areas on the vehicle.
Side note: As long as you treat other with respect, it makes no difference if your spoiled. Take every advantage you can get in life....and being born with wealthy parents is a BIG one

When we were finally buying it, we said no deal unless they remove those stealership badges haha, so I'm already set on getting rid of those!
