hey guys, i got some frame rot as well, you think toyota will cover it?

Well I went in to the dealer yesterday (friday). I didn't get a chance to talk to the rep face to face. However, the service mgr said he'd " love to do a frame swap on my 4R". I have to wait to hear from them by the end of next week to see what happens.

Could you try to post a pic of the damage. I would like to keep an eye on the spot that you have rot at. My frame rusted through right next to the muffler.

I finally heard back from Toyota today. The said that they would not help out in any way.:dammit: Oh well it is what is.

Not surprised. It's too bad that it'll probably never get a recall, simply due to age...it makes it easily fit under normal wear.

I feel bad for you guys with rust, but there is so much that is subject to vehicle care after that many years, I can't really blame Toyota for not wanting to pay for anything.
