they were the original bolts. I replaced the Lower ball joints after 215K and breaking one. the new ball joints did not come with new bolts. Some do and some dont. Probably a good idea to get new ones every once in awhile

GOt some LEDs from a buddy that recently started selling them. These are sweet. Some of the brightest I have seen. I have 2 10" bars with 10 watt LEds in them They really are bright

My buddy has a post up on pirate. Hit him up. He can get other brands or styles, These are the 10watt Led bars. He sells some with 3 watt leds for quite a bit less.

What is the housing made from? I'd might want to buy a set for my boat's T-top, but the salt water rusting it away quickly would not be fun.

Bent the sweet batwing into the side of my truck on bullfrog the other night. It caught the entire truck. Barely cracked the tailight and got a nice dent front tubing smashing the quarter. Cut most of the way through the batwing. bent it back and re welded it. THen my friend talked me into trying to punch the dent out so i popped of the interior trim and tried it. Got 90% of it out.

It bent the entire bumper... they have held up good but this was a really hard smash. Im thinking use some 3/16 and plate the entire batwing. or ad a 3rd tube in the middle then plate it.

I just cut and bent them back. then re welded. Im probably just going to be real lazy about it like everything else on the truck and leave it for awhile. I think you could easliy gusset them proper, and it would have been easy to do initially, its going to be a pain adding it as a second thought.

Took the lock right out of the rear diff and put a spool in its place. Much much better. drives better, and way less slop in the drive train. Stock carrier was on its way out, had a carrier bearing spinning on the journal.

Hey man, ive just read thru this entire thread and I have got to say, Damn good build! I have always had so much respect and love for all yotas but you sir have truely pushed the limits and I am impressed! Ive had my 3rd gen for about 2 years now, its my first 4x4 or even anything other than a sports car for that matter lol. Ive owned 12 supras, 72 rolla, 74 rolla, 84 rolla, and 89 cressida lol. Im not new to wheeling though, me and my dad used to go out to moab all the time in jeeps, then I showed hin the light that is toyota and he got a 07 FJ and its all decked out and we do some serious wheeling with it. I kept my truck stick until now due to the fact that it was a work truck and I put nearly 60k on it in a little less than 2 years lol. But now its time to be a daily/wheeler. I have the Addicted offroad bumper just put on, ordering my Toytec ultimate lift tomorrow, my 33s and about to do a bunch of my own custom stuff. Super excited to build my first wheeler. You should look into coming out to SUMMIT 8 next year in Ouray, Co. It started out as only FJs but now its all yotas. Great event. This past year had over 200 yotas and they give away over 40k worth of stuff every year.
My only question is, would you be willing to build another front pair of tube doors? If so what would you charge for them? I wouldnt mind a rear pair too but im mostly interested in the fronts. Id build them myself but im not the best welder and I dont have any friends that weld. Im very interested in them. Thanks man!

Hey thanks for the good words. I would build another set of front doors for sure. I built a similar set for an 2009 tacoma. PM me and we can talk about them.
on a side note. Got this led pod for almost free from a buddy who imports them from china. Decided to mount it in the receiver in the rear bumper since i dont have reverse lights. Put it on a switch. Its perfect. I drilled and tapped a set screw on the top and it seems secure enough. Its a 10 Watt single led in a flood. Its really bright. Output is right there with the rigid 2x2 pods. Good enough for me. Had to grind the housing a little. Although I tested it on others and it fits in perfect with no grinding.
And since I put the spool in I decided to sell the rear lockright i had

Changed a couple things.. Chopped moar off the arb. next time I change it it will go in the scrap pile......
Close up of the mounting for the lightbar. I really didnt like mounting this, but these mounts were the least bad idea I had. THe bar is 41.5" all spot pattern with 3w cree chips. Seems pretty good, it has the distance i wanted. I still like the 10Watt cree bars on the bumper. Got a deal on the bar, straight from china so I cant complain.

Looks good to me. I actually like the ARB like that than what it comes stock. Let me know if you ever scrap it...I'd be happy to take it off your hands...haha
