Tom nice to hear from you. I've have official finish graduate school too and know how it feels. I don't know if you wanna travel to Philly, because I have a great guy who powedcoated my full set of skid plates and you can hung out at my place, plus let me know if you need a hand with install on the bumper, I work on the weekend but during the week my schedule is flexible.

It's been a crazy 4 years so it's nice to have a little break! What did you go to grad school for? I'd love to know the name of the place that did your skids! Philly is only a 50ish minute drive from me so that could be doable. If I come up for that I'll definitely swing by if you're free.

I'm going to get it repowder coated and then reevaluate my priorities and either install it or put it up for sale.

I'm running short on time and am having to prioritize my final mods before I'm stuck in a tiny apartment in the bay area without my garage.

I'll keep everyone posted.

[MENTION=78705]jangoforhire[/MENTION] if you're talkng about a cbi rear bumper, a full size spare will fit in its stock location. Guys with KDSS running a bigger sized tire may have problems with the spare in its stock location.

Check out my build too if you have a chance, I completed the retrofits and your retrofits were one of my inspirations builds.

Read through this build last night..very impressed man. I had about $5000 in mind to budget when it came to immediate mods, but after reading almost 30 pages of this insanity I may have to trade out a vacation or two to up that budget a little more.

So, simultaneously, thanks and screw you.

If only I could travel that far without having it installed. I'm making the trip with a friend from college so we'll have my car pretty packed already. Heck Idaho isn't far from you out there, you make a trip out to CBI and turn it into a short vacation with the family!

I am talking about the CBI bumper, thanks for the tip. I have been following the thread when I can, but I've been so busy lately I wasn't sure if I had missed it. I'll be running a full size 285 spare under there so hopefully it will fit.

Got it Alex, thanks for the prompt reply. I'm checking out a few local places but I'll give them a call tomorrow. I know how you feel with school, I was considering graduate school for a while but I think the prospect of making a decent salary was a little more appealing to me right after graduation.

Haha what you just described happens when I read almost every build on here. Everyone has so many cool ideas and tips that I end up wanting to spend so much more money than I ever intended. I was in your shoes 2 years ago and all these great guys here inspired me to build this truck.

I'll be there with a buddy from Mud and our two families but would be happy to have you join us! Most likely going to be doing Moab Rim, Golden Spike and Kane Creek on those days. Alternatives are Hell's Revenge and wanting to do a night run on Fins N Things. All my lights will be installed so we can all look like UFOs together. I'll PM my cell number to ya.

Correct, I went with the bumper sans swing out. I was on the fence about that decision for a while, and still may end up regretting not getting it. But we'll see.

You still have time to add in the swing out. The bumper has a few adjustments needed before they start to roll them out. I just did the test fit of the new design. 285 spare will fit as I'm running the same size spare.

I've had mine delivered for about 3 weeks now so unfortunately I'm stuck without my swing out! I'm not too concerned about it though.

FYI, most of the bumpers aren't coming with the install instructions. I would suggest calling Nathan and asking for the instructions. If you pm me your email address I can send a PDF of the install instructions.

I realized that I haven't been around here for a little while, so I figured I should swing by and post up a few pictures! Hope everything is well with all you guys! I've been pretty busy settling into the bay area and my new job after my move a few months back, but I'm finally getting some time to go exploring!

First things first, the cross country road trip was amazing. We did a 3.5 week trip with route that looked something like this:

Highlights: Aspen, Arches, Yellowstone, Glacier, Jasper, Banff, Olympic, Portland, Mendocino.

Since the move, I'm living in the city and missing my garage, and just space in general, so I haven't had much time to work on the truck. Before I left I made a bunch of small miscellaneous changes that you may notice in the images below. These included:

• 4 USB ports installed in the center console
• Blacked out door handles with vinyl
• Blacked out rear garnish and color matched the logo and text to Toyota Blizzard Pearl (3 coats, what a pain)
• Fitted full size spare in stock location
• Installed Biometric handgun safe under drivers seat (THIS one - it's awesome, fits perfectly under the seat and the fingerprint recognition is great and super fast.
• I was running out of time so I took the truck to High Tech and had them install the full BudBuilt skid set, and icon LCA skids, as well as to give it a full once over. Scott and the crew did a great job as usual and the only problem I've had after beating the truck up for six thousand miles is a nail in the tire and a dented skid plate.
