JBL system

I am looking to add an Aux in feature to my '03 limited with the factory JBL non-navigation system. I know it is not simple because it is the JBL system. I located a guy who is selling the JBL head unit from an '06 for a very reasonable price. I believe I read that the JBL systems, from '05 on had an AUX in function.
The unit he is selling, part # 86120-35340. From pics I have found on line, this unit appears to have a button that is labeled DISC/AUX. I am satisfied with the audio function of the present JBL system, and don't want to upgrade to an aftermarket system, just to get an AUX input, if I don't have to.

Can I swap this unit for my present '03 JBL system, and gain the AUX input function I am looking for? If so, do I need any additional wiring hardware to make it work?

Thanks.

i threw in a e7009 JBL nav unit into my 05. i have yet to wire everything up for the aux stuff though. there are several threads (by poster "A/V1" or something like that) that have all the pinouts for everything. you will have to add wires and pins in the radio connector to the JBL unit. R26 i believe is the connector name.

I believe i read you have to do extra wiring when doing it this way. I purchased an 05 recently and by week two put a $80 kenwood in that gave me AUX/BT/USB ordered it from Crutchfield and got the wiring harness to keep SW controls and use of the factory JBL system and love it. This may be an easier route for you to go
