CB Radio Mount

Great build! Do you have any photos/advice on the Cobra 29 LX CB radio mount? Would you go with the same CB or something smaller next time?

Thanks.

Wiring project completed just in time for my next roadtrip (SEMA). What I was fixing: 4Runner had only one 12V socket connected with small gauge wiring, and I had a daisy chain of five 12V ports running off of it with a mess of cables for powering everything...so when all were in use, the power was inadequate for charging mobile devices.

Soooo, I added 2 Blue Sea outlets to the center console: one is a dual USB 2.1amp and the other is a 12V socket (purchased from Exploration Outfitters LLC). I used a 29mm hole cutting bit to cut the holes in the console. Ran 16 gauge wiring for both of these to the S-Pod. Next I ran power wires for the CB and dashcam to the S-Pod. Now all of the wiring is hidden, new ports are easily accessible, and with bigger gauge wiring.

I should be happy, but in the midst of all of this, I discovered my Smittybilt XRC10 winch no longer works. <sigh>

Thanks. I like the idea of having the NOAA feature. Also like having detailed dials. So I'd probably get the same radio all over again.

I have the same bumper and so fat I really like it. Did you get yours with a receiver hitch or add it later. i thought they came with a hitch and was disappointed when it showed up without one. I've got a solution in mind, but wondered what you did.

When I ordered my CBI rear bumper, they asked me if I wanted the receiver hitch.

Exploration Outfitters in Durant, OK. They own Zero Dark. I don't see the 7-inch on his website, but call Matt Green at 580-745-5337. He provided brackets that made the lights fit on the Demello bumper better. I'll get you some daytime shots when I get home from work. When you call Matt, tell him you are interested in same front lights Phil has.

Lighting | Exploration Outfitters

I think those are the same as the ones i'm running?
Got them here.
Tuff Stuff Winch | Recon Winches | Tuff Stuff ATV Winch | Jeep Winches

Just looked at their page. They are the same. Exploration changes the mounts. Here's the link to their option. https://explorationoutfitters.com/c...dark-lighting-flamethrower-7-round-led-cannon

When I got mine it didn't have the hitch with it. I called them and they sent it out.

Does it bolt on or do you weld it on. My plan was to make one fit and weld it on, but if they have one that bolts in, i'd rather do that.

Bolts on. Look at Momo.75's avatar photo...you'll see 4 bolts in the center of his rear bumper. Those are the bolts that attach the receiver.

thanks, I called CBI and they apologized that it wasn't included with the bumper. Within an hour of talking to Nathan, I received the shipping notice. These guys are great to deal with. The customer service alone, almost makes the price tag a little easier to bear...

I just purchased my first T4R and its the same color as yours, I have been looking over this site for the last few days looking for someone that had the same color so I could start getting ideas on how I wanted to proceed! Needless to say, your T4R is now my desktop picture so I know what my end goal is haha! Great build man, I can't wait to get mine started!

Congrats! Thanks. Be sure to download (it's free) Toyota Cruisers and Trucks Magazine for ideas and gear sources.
