Attempting to install Kenwood DMX7704S w/ Axxess TYTO-01 and a back-up camera. This is quite an undertaking because I am also trying to rewire everything I ever wired half-a$$.

After much use with a Dremel tool, I was able to get the bigger "made-for-Toyota" USB ports rocker to fit.

If it still doesn't fit, Dremel it.

If it breaks, it wasn't going to go there anyway.

Install completed. Next up is to finish getting the back-up camera working.

The brackets that came with the Metra kit would not work on their own. I had to use the OEM brackets off of the original head-unit. Fits pretty well.

That's actually a good thing. If I recall correctly, my 2003's HU had metal brackets. We just did a Scosche kit in my wife's Subaru Forester XT, and it was plastic. It makes me nervous when cheap plastic is holding up a multi-hundred dollar head unit.

Your install looks really good. I like how the Metra kit blends better than the Scosche one.

NorthStar 27F battery replaced my aging 31M Marine DieHard, which turned out to be an effective alternator killer. 2 alternators died while using the 31M. Eventually I'll upgrade to a Singer alternator.

I still have the set of 5 Hankook M/Ts mounted on Mickey Thompson rims. I'll save those for off-road parks and muddy areas. I'll use the KO2s more for overlanding and long-distance travel.
