I would like to add my 2 cents. I have a 2014 WK2 Eco-diesel limited, with the air suspension. I have newer copper at3s and Mopar rock-sliders and the thing is very well sorted off road, but also I get 30 mpg without trying. We are coming up on 40,000 trouble free miles, nothing has gone wrong, nothing has broken, nothing is wrong. On the flip side my dad's Toyota Tundra work truck is a heaping pile of garbage. Sure it lives a hard life, but four rear axle replacements and two transfer case replacements later, we finally but a dynatrac 60 and an atlas two speed in it, and its solved that problem.
I will say that what will go wrong with the WK2 is the air compressor will die at about 100,000 miles, 2000 dollar replacement. I own a 3rd gen with a lot of mileage and as a replacement, I'm considering another WK2, maybe a trail hawk with the diesel.
As a side note, i have always had really crappy service and dumb techs at Toyota dealers and great service and ASC certified mechanics at my Jeep dealer. So there is that too...
Different view points I guess.
