Black TRD Wheels ORDERED and SHIPPED!

For my order of 4 PTR20-35110-BK "Black TRD Wheels"

Good news:
My order was SHIPPED, I got the Fedex tracking number, they are coming from FL, and will get to San Diego next Tuesday!

Bad news:
I paid $156.95 for each, bought 4, shipping was only $43.95; the ordered total for 4 of them is $671.75 shipped from FL to CA, no tax! But they immediately bumped the price up to $185 each. They probably figured out that they were not making money/losing money on them at that price.

Sorry guys....

NOW! Probably the first guy who JUMP in..... "Matte Gray TRD Wheels" PTR20-35110-GR are *still* at $156.95 a piece..... as soon as they figured it out, it will probably be bumped up to $185 a piece. HURRY!!!
https://thetoyotapartsdepot.com/par...20-35110-GR&action=oePartSearch&siteid=218558

So, please, NO ONE should call and ask them why, they probably will figure out and change the price right the way. If you WANT the gray ones, snatch them up! This is probably the best price you will every seen these shipped to you!

What does the LED kit you bought include?

They look similar to my 6k Precision kit output.

OH NO!!! Precision LED is WAY overpriced! My $20 kit probably have the same, if not more, than your kit ($100+).

If possible, return it!! Again, overpriced.

Mine has:
- (2) Map
- (2) Vanity Mirrors
- (1) Dome
- (2) Trunk
- (2) License Plate
- (4) Courtesy Door
- (2) External Mirror
- NO 3pc Trim Tool
- NO Precision LED Sticker

$20!!

Yours probably nicer color......

But I rather spend the difference on some HID.....

On-demand foglight - *Research Phase*

Another session of "paper modding"..... trying to figure out how to utilize the factory/original foglight control to product an on-demand foglight effect. ie. whenever the car is ON, the foglight will be ON whenever the foglight control is turn to the ON position no matter what light state you are. By default, the foglight will ONLY come ON when you are in low-beam mode; DRL and high-beam will have the foglight turned OFF.

The only cons here is that the FOG light indicator is no longer true to whether the foglight is on or off.

I think by adding 1 relay & a fuse, and wiring up like how I illustrated in the diagram here should do the trick.

Fortunately for me I spent $0.00 because it was a Christmas gift.

Let me know how this turns out for you. I've been wanting to do the same thing. There are threads out there for this already, but none that adequately mod the 14+.

This is not much of a "mod", but none the less, it is *some* work done to the car. Last weekend, I washed and applied "Detailer's Pro Series - Paint Coating" to my new SR5P. They say that this semi-perm "paint coating" is as durable, if not more durable, as those dealership applied "clear coat". It should last a year or 2, I don't really expect it to last *that* long; if I can get 9mo to a year out of it, I will be pretty happy!

I washed the car, dried it. Did an all-a-round "Coating Prep Polish", then applied the "Paint Coating" to everything - paint, glass, black trims, wheels, mirrors etc... the only thing I left out is the tires... I even did the inside trims (hard plastic), and inside of the glasses..... Lastly, I did the "Poli-Coat Sealant" on the paint.

Dug out my detailer's self:

The shine is awesome and sick!!

Just picked up my new 2015 TEP and would like to do the same treatment to my truck, did you do the prepolish by hand or machine?
Your truck looks great!

I did everything by hand. With a brand new truck, since the paint is still perfect, the pre-polish portion is like no work at all...... no need for machine....

I basically drove my truck home, and it stayed in the garage until I got all the products in, a light wash.... then the pre-polish and coating application....

Which products are you thinking about using? (i have an extra set of DP's)

That's crazy cheap for those tires. Got mine at Discount Tire for $219 each and that was far and away the cheapest around here. I also got their lifetime warranty which added some money, but I think it's worth it. I've used it in the past on other sets from Discount. Was this an online deal you got?

Local (but having them give me an online deal, will post details next week)

So, tell me about why the replacement warranty is a good thing? I failed to see it (I looked at that before when I buy previous passenger car tires). It's like $30-40 per tire.... and you need to purchase for all 4, so that's basically 1 tire worth of cost.... most of the time they can fix the tire if it is a puncture, and these BFGs are tough, I don't know how they can be damaged beyond repair. And is the warranty good for "offroad" activities too?

Fedex just came! And delivered these..... its time to head to Discount Tires to get some KO2 on!!

Discount Tires are doing 40psi for both front and rear.... I kind of think that it is not enough..... what are you guys running???? (somehow I think 44psi is what I should be running them at)

*updated*

Better pic, I guess....

*** FYI 7/8/2015 ***
I have been running the tires at 45psi for a while now, and I loved it! Performance and mpg wise!
Here is some background info why these LT tires need more pressure that what is listed on your door!

Simple, reversible, quick, & cheap - ALWAYS ON 12V Outlet Mod

The diagrams and explanation is here:
http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/187467-jicko-build-thread-2.html#post1950091

This execution skips the "switch" part.

"Add-a-ciruit" available @ your local auto stores - Kragen/O'reily, AutoZone, Pep-boys for $6.

*Credits to a few other guys in this forum who had done it before*

This will NOT run your fridge tho.

The factory wire gauge of wires off the 2 rear seats 12V outlet as well as the cargo 12V outlet from the battery are probably not sufficient enough to handle the instantaneous current draw of the starting of the compressor, hence, at the 12V outlet, the voltage dips lower than the "battery monitoring" voltage. The ARB fridge will NOT run.

For the ARB Fridge, you need to run your own wiring. (This seems to be the conclusion I am getting at).

Still plenty of reason to do this.

Awesome :D

Yeah 44 sounds good! At least they didn't fill them to 32 like many others do :D

I checked them out today, they "said" that they are doing 40psi.... but in reality, most of them are at 38.

I pumped them up to 44, and we'll see how they ride.
