Is it too late to get in on this? Probably won't know if we can go until a couple days before. Nonetheless I would really like to go! Thanks for the scout. That spot looks awesome.

I can put you on the maybe list. There's so much open space and camping in that general vicinity.

So the wife wanted to take a trip out to Joshua Tree (our first time!) and asked me to pick a date in March...conveniently remembered this thread and the dates...

Got room for one more noob?!

Is there a list of planned routes you guys are taking so I can start looking them up?

Is there a list of planned routes you guys are taking so I can start looking them up?

There isn't a whole lot in terms of planned routes, but there are all sorts of mines and roads in the near vicinity of us. Plenty of exploring to be done in this area and especially if you want to drive into JTNP to see the sights.

Yep, list is back open. Anyone that doesn't want to camp with the main group is free to find their own spot. There are all sorts of random spots along the roads that already contain fire pits.

Didn't get a chance to check the lake bed because we were tooling around all day sat and Sunday. Ran out of time. Haven't checked with BLM but everything I've looked at says it's BLM land. Rather not tip them off if I can help it. Hahah.

This will be my first time out there too. As far as routes from what I can tell it's gonna be a free for all-wing it type of event as far as day runs. I'm sure quite a few people are experienced enough out there to be leading different groups. As for me I'll probably be holding [MENTION=117408]Oneluv13T4R[/MENTION] pocket and just following wherever he goes, as he's a local expert of sorts

I'm more than happy to form a group of a couple guys and go screw around a couple times through out the day if we want to get something going. It will be my first time out to JT for wheeling
