Similar to n. Fork fish creek but....better haha that section was pretty fun and required a little thinking but not so much that I thought we weren't gonna make it

Also...took the man van up to bear this past weekend it did pretty well in the snow....better than some people I know hahahha

Hahahahha. He could do snow, with chains, and he's not gonna get too far up hills.

Cool, let me know if you want to camp together. After looking at the map, I'm going to try and get in as deep as possible but the designated camp ground is going to be tough to get to, esp in the dark at night.

I'm going to try and get up there around 12pm Friday so I don't have to be finding camp in the dark. I'm more than happy to have people to camp with. Just pm me if you have a specific place in mind.

I will also be leaving on friday afternoon and I am flexible with the departure time as well.

Perhaps we can get a small to decent convoy leaving the corona area, i will be coming from Fullerton so I can exit off the 91 and meet up at whichever meeting spot we pick.

Im okay to proceed with the speed set for the convoy and go with the flow.

After all, fleets are meant to move at the speed of the slowest vessel with no man left behind right lol

Just accepted the rules and regs. Im wondering if anybody else will be using the GPS coordinates in the 4Runner to get to the site? Or am I the only schmuck winging it?

I was impressed with the 4-runner gps.. In the same area our group split up.. when the roads didnt meet up where we thought.. the other group radioed the coordinates and i plugged them into the gps.. took us right to them.. the map was also accurate, this was a lightly traveled side trail.

Not a failsafe navigation device.. but definately a good backup..on a side note.. After the trip i upgraded my uhf/vhf radio from the 4watt baofeng to a 25watt portable... much more range... (using roof mounted antenna for both)

Is there a frequency set for the trip?

146.460 for base camp. We'll figure an alternative freq for any runs. I'm also running a mobile unit 25/60 watts so I can pickup/transmit a bit aways.

Because Im a young guy/ inexperienced. Will my stock fj80 with 295's be okay? or should I do some upgrades? How is the terrain I mean to ask. Im no bad ass haha just looking to have fun
