It may take me awhile, but I usually wisen up and make the right decision! I have Miah's map, but I'll keep looking through the thread for the specifics for Friday. When in doubt, I'll just follow the Tacomas (yes, I know the pecking order). It should be easy to find them since it looks like at least one guy will have a 55 gallon drum of lube strapped to their bed rack. LOL
 
Shoot, I'm really thinking hard about leaving Friday after work and be there by 11pm. You guys will still be up and partying anyways...just keep your radio's on! Worse come to worse we'll find a nice spot off the trail and make camp, at least we're there early.

bahahhahahahahahha. I love it.

Berdoo ends at Geology Tour Road, When you hit pavement there's probably a 10-15 mile jaunt to Old Dale Mine Rd. Alternatively, if it can be found, you can circle back around through Thermal Canyon to Pinkham which drops you closer to ODR but makes for a much longer evening.

Dude there are campsites all up and down Gold Crown Rd and every off shoot in between. You just have to look for the fire pits.

If there is a risk of cancellation, I'll work on a Plan B. I'd like to go to the campsite from the south, but I'm not sure I want to explore new trails solo. It looks like there are some other SD trucks going up, but we are in between the "taking the whole day off of work" and "working the whole day" groups.

Yeah most people are planning on camp either morning, or late evening. Right now I only have you and [MENTION=126720]mgosts[/MENTION] for the run, I'm waiting to see if anyone else jumps on it. I may just say screw it and do the run Miah's doing which is Thermal to Pinkham to Old Dale. I think that's going to be the fastest route but to be honest we won't be doing much sight seeing. You can also enter via Cottonwood Springs, go past the ranger station and connect to ODR directly from pavement and skip all the other canyons.

Yo Mike me Chris, Kunal, Sang, and a few others are meeting at that travel stop at 8am and wheeling (its the pre run trail that Danny, Kunal, and Miah took). We will eventually later that evening get to Danny's camp site.

Nice! Wish I can wheel with you guys. if we leave Friday, we'll be at the corner of 62 & GCR around 10pm. I'll know more as it nears. My buddy and his son are coming with us so a little more logistics.

I am planing to leave Escondido around 6:30PM, which should match up with you if you end up leaving Friday. Let me know once you know and we can caravan.
 
Sounds good brotha! I'll let you know. I have to work till 630 and need about 1 hr of prep and driving to esco from RSD.

As of the moment, with work, i am still good for meeting greg at Loves truck stop at 4p. If that doesnt come together, my gps and maps should get me there. "Should" is the key word in that sentence.

Again, Worst case Google Maps will take you 90% of the way there. I'll keep you guys posted.
 
It's starting to look like I won't make it until Friday night. I'm getting my tires and alignment done on Friday at 10 (assuming I can finish the lift). It should look pretty BAMF until people realize I don't know how to wheel.

We are the only ones signed up for this option. If it gets cancelled, are you still interested in meeting and going up Berdoo? The other option is meeting at Cottonwood and at least driving up Old Dale.

They loaded into Locus without any problems. Did you get these Miah's map? They were duplicates of what were already in my device, so I must have imported them from Miah's map or California Trail Map.
