JS1 "Balance Arm?"

Anyone ever heard of this?

New Look !! JS1 Front Balance Arm - YouTube

It seems to be billed as an alternative to a connected sway bar... I honestly can't recall ever hearing of something like this, nor am I really sure how this is supposed to work?

Just curious if it could be a design path for retaining a sway bar, but having additional travel?

I don't think they do anything at all. But... There's a lot of popular off-road gear that also does nothing beneficial yet remains popular.

That's sort of what I am trying to figure out... these seem to be some sort of alternative to running a sway bar on Fortuners and some other vehicles... Given how they seem to work; it's slightly interesting?

I was just curious if anyone had any experience with this type of thing or if it seems slightly workable? I mean, I'm still sort of scratching my head trying to understand how the add-on arms provide enough assistance, but if they did; it'd be an interesting way to replace the sway bars and retain on-road manners while having good articulation?

It's just something I haven't ever really seen or heard being done in an automotive application so I was sort of trying to wrap my head around it.

Those are actually legit. I have seen them on the same shelf they keep the flux capacitors, muffler bearings and power bands.
