Hi. Got the T4R in June. Just finished 1600 miles between Austin TX and all around Arkansas towing 3200 lbs of pop up trailer. Even with the V6, I can report that this is one tough vehicle. It pulls the trailer better than my former 2003 V8 Avalanche. Never felt it back there, mostly forgot about it. Mt. Nebo in AR is a really good test. The road up averages 18% grade with switchbacks more than double. I think it handled the grade better with the trailer than without (and all in 2WD). Also averaged a hair over 14 mpg measured while towing. My Av would only muster 8 or 9. Coming home, with a sick kid in the back, we were regularly hitting 80 on the uphills at the same rpm's I'd expect without the trailer. People would try to get in front of me thinking I would be the slow poke, then seconds later, I'd have to blow them away.:jump:
I installed the hitch myself (Curt) last month and rewired a Camper world 7 pin to 6 pin coiled harness (so I didn't have to relocate the factory plug). I do recommend a friction sway bar control (put on while I had the Av, $55) so the trailer doesn't control the truck. Also, the wheelbase is nice for backing the trailer, the length of the Av sometimes made it more of a challenge.
Final verdict - 100% impressed with the T4R.
