So I have driven it for a few days now the ride quality has vastly improved. And it doesn't pull! Steering wheel is still off but it was when we started. I'm going to drop it off for alignment on Wednesday. I was hoping for the suspension to settle some. I even backed off the torsion bar adjusters before I left for work today. Still looking a little pre-runneresc. I might back them off a little more but most likely I will break down and finally buy the OME spring's I have been eyeing for about a year.

Some more parts arrived today.
$270 bucks for this damn sticker. Now I can pass the visual inspection and get my it smoged.
I ordered my OME coils form Toyteclifts today too

I had to take out my home made intake as it would not pass the visual inspection requirement for smog. So here is my K&N install
Old decrepit stock parts apparently with the K&N set up you reuse one of the small resonators.
Unplug the Air Flow Meter
Remove the intake tube
Top of the stock air box
Bottom of the stock air box
I used the stock mounting hardware as jam nuts to remove the studs from AFM
A little gasket trimming is in order

Intake and smog done. I was due for a new cat 
out: expected to pay under $100 got out for less then five hundred. The day it was all done i went for a nice mtb ride to santiago peak perfect day great ride. But it ended with a bang...... and broke my left clavicle. So I haven't been able to enjoy my it and have been stuck at home for the last two weeks. Still waiting for medical to approve surgery. But today was able to convince my wife that i was well enough to go for a drive.
So we set out today in search of local snow. We headed down trabucco canyon started dusty at the start off of live oak and gradually got colder and wetter until we found the snow.
Not much for snow on the trails up there but it was enough to make her happy. I drove up to the end of trabucco witch was nice considering I haven't driven in weeks. I even got her behind the wheel for the return trip back to the road.
I purposely had her drive back in the dark to ease the idea of auxiliary lighting :bounce:

Taking care of the saggy rear end. I just ordered Moog 6201 coils.

Anyone know if I need to lower the track bar to run these?
I scoured the spring charts looking at size and rate to get what I think I wanted. I suppose i could post a link to that also

I based my decision knowing I needed a Pig tail/Tangential coil. Around 600-620lb load. And the stock coils new are almost 13 unsprung. The 6201 coils are a couple inches(15 unsprung) taller and have a 32lb increased rate. I think these will fit the bill a small lift with a better ride. My truck is mostly a DD any way.

I believe I will be going with these shocks to accommodate the new coils.

In case anyone is wondering the stock set up is
Extended 20 in
Compressed 13 in
Stroke 7 in
The new shocks will be
Extended 23 in
Compressed 14 in
Stroke 8.5 in
So to paired with the 6201 coils these will be just right I think. 2 inch's more on the full extension and 1.5 inch more travel.
To complete my "Quick n' Dirty" lift it is costing me $131

Field trip today. I went to the local pick a part. In a few hours u was able to locate a 7MGE AFM off of a 90 Lexus 250 something!!! Thanks to Scaled_Dawgs build thread. I also got my hands on some caddy horns. I hope all the electronics work

I ordered up a few more things as I wait for my shocks to arrive. Extended Brake line from 1979-1995 Toyota Hilux | Pickup | 4Runner 4x4 Off Road Parts
as well as some fresh vacuum line. I also ordered a cone filter adapter for me larger 7MGE AFM and Spectre filter to fit.

Today's task for the square hole to the round hole then make it a smooth transition between the two

So are all I had time to do was trim the adapter to match the new AFM and epoxy it to the filter adapter going trim it up and make it clean before I drill the holes to match the everything up.

A little cut off when, flat file and drill press and ready to install and tune. From everything I have read and logically, if the setting is the same as the smaller one, it will need to be richend. I'm hoping to gain some mpg's on the daily and a little more power in the dirt. I'll figure it all out tomorrow.

The last of the parts arrived yesterday so I started with the necessity's. Vacuum lines! Out with the hard and cracked in with soft and pliable.
In total probably a couple feet in total replaced. Next was on to the fun stuff! Junk yard HP I picked up this larger VAFM off of a 90 Lexus ES 250. Here is a comparison photo.
Just a little more air :biggrin2: I used the 3in tubing and elbow's from my first home grown intake worked like a charm. I just need to fab up another hanger to bolt on to the VAFM so it dose not move too much off the pavement.
I had to use barrel type Allen bolts to bolt the round adapter to the square hole.
