Actually the cheap plastic caps are approximately .40 outside dimensions. So add a touch of superglue to the inside of the case and slip in the plastic caps and voila, cool caps.

With my luck i'd be denied access to an airport or refinery for "ammunition"... That being said, anything i can do to keep them from looking inside for lose ammo is worth its weight in gold.

Yep. Heck,, the TPMS sensors are surrounded by aluminum ,, little bit of nickel isn't going to matter.
