No, but we should. The number of shitboxes on the roads here is impressive, especially ones that have been in wrecks and are totally missing lights and other body parts. If you live in certain counties around Denver, you just have to pass emissions.

So uh... I want to see some work on those axles!

I dropped it off at the powder coaters on Tuesday!! Hope to see it back in a couple weeks. I'll also be headed to Denver this weekend to a Toyota yard to get some used spindles and wheel hubs. Then I'll drop them off at the powder coaters to just get blasted. Decided against going with Trail Gear chromoly spindles and hubs. I've heard too many horror stories. The other parts will be coming soon, going to start purchasing them over black friday/cyber monday deals to hopefully save a little money.

Things are moving!

Got me some used OEM wheel hubs and spindles. Plan to drop off at the powder coaters as well to get media blasted for a clean slate. More things coming!

Because operating a vehicle on public roads is totally a right and not a privilege...

And how dare I want vehicles to not be held together with tape, with a head or tail light completely missing, while everyone can hear the squeal of the backing plate on the rotor or the clicking of their studded tires in the middle of July. These are things I see daily, and we don't even have to deal with the rust problems inherent with salt here.

Got the axle back from powder and my, oh my, is it pretty! I figured why not have it stand out, so I went with a Black/Silver hammertone.

All parts have been ordered now and just playing the waiting game. Aiming for mid December completion. Will document as I go.

ACF All Coat Finishing. Not only did they have the best price in town but they do a great job. I knew about them from Hefty Fabworks, as that's who they use for all their coatings.

Nope, no emissions tests in the county I'm in.

The only other solution is a transmission case mounted disk parking brake but there isn't one out there for us. Plus, not sure one would even fit. I know the line-lock isn't a permanent modification. It's to be used on more of when I absolutely need it and not for any long periods of time. It's better than nothing. I've seen the Jamar brand is by far the most popular mechanical one. I've seen others. Summit Racing makes a really nice electronic one for dragsters. But it's nearly 5 times the cost of a mech one. A line-lock is least of my worries right now. It can always be added later down the line.

Only good for 95 and under.

Not to mention that these will instantly fail you on a safety inspection. Luckily he's in Colorado so that doesn't matter.
