Kayak fishing rack

I have a Moken 10 kayak I use for fishing that is 36 inches wide and about 70lbs. While not impossible it tends to be a bid of a pain to get onto the roof rack while trying not to ding up the SUV. If anyone else had any interest in alternative options for loading larger kayaks I just purchased a "Hullavator Pro". Makes loading and unloading easy enough my kid can do it. I had a "Rhino T loader" that installed through the hitch that worked pretty well but this new one makes life much easier. Posting some pics of the rack on the 4runner.

Does that fit in the garage w/o the Kayak?

The two arms you see that swing down to cradle the kayak are removable when it is in a certain position, so when I'm not kayaking I simply remove the arms allowing it to fit in my garage on the daily basis. It leaves the mounting brackets in place on the roof rack . I hang the arms in the garage and clip them in when I'm ready to fish.

Yeaaa, that's badass! Looked, and wanted, but ended up with free thule bars and mounts so I went with the setup in my sig. Btw, I have a jackson coosa .

That is cool. I have Hully Rollers on my Suburban and Yakima foldable J hooks on my RAV4. I did scratch my RAV4 prettty good one time loading my Ocean Malibu.

Who makes that gadget? I could definitely use one of those.

Thule makes it, they call it the hullavator. Lots of demo vids of on YouTube .

Thule makes It. They just came out with this pro model that holds kayaks up to 36 inch widths. They also carry the XT version that is basically the same thing but is slightly narrower.

My buddy has a Jackson C. Awesome kayaks. Really like my Moken for stability but it doesn't track as well as his Jackson

I have a 12' Riot with a rudder. If I don't use the rudder I just sit and spin, but with the rudder dropped it tracks like an arrow. Both of my yaks are too big. A 10' Moken Lite or any Diablo would be perfect. Never heard of Jackson C. I'll have to check them out.

I already had crossbars. But no the rack is just a kayak system to attach to your existing bars. It came with attachments for 3 different types of bars.

I have the Thule Rapid Crossroad SILVER AeroBlade Roof Rack. The model I have fits 4runners from 2010-15.

I'm sorry to bump this, but I am interested in this information as well. I believe they are the ARB53 bars though correct? Thule wants 4" of hangover on the side of the vehicle for the Hullavator though, so maybe you have the larger bars?

I'm considering getting a 4Runner, although the MPG is horrible, it seems to be one of the last true off road vehicles made. My youngest is getting to the age where we can go Kayaking together, so I would have two hullavators installed.

i went with the 53 however just got a 2nd hullavator to carry another kayak so I'm upgrading to a 60. I believe thule aeroblade only goes up to 60. The extra 7 inch should help.
