KDSS stabilizer bars

Seems like a lot of discussion lately about the stabilizer bars and ride of various stock 5th gens. I stumbled across the following diameters for 4x4s:

Front:
1.18"
Trail w/ KDSS 1.68"
Limited 1.22"

Rear:

.787"
Trail w/ KDSS 1.18"

So 1/2" larger diameter up front and over 3/8" on the rear with KDSS... pretty substantial.

Good info. Now, I wonder if the front bar for a TE would be a straight swap (w/new bushings) for the bar in the SR5? I assume that there are differences between the rear sways due to the KDSS on the TE.

No, They can't be used on SR5/Limited's.

Where and how the sway bars attach on the TE KDSS is completely different. They go down along the bottom and attach to the LCA's on the front with hangers from the frame on one side and a hydraulic actuator on the other. Even the frames are different on TE's with KDSS to accommodate the attach points.

The sways on the Limiteds/SR5's sit up higher and attach the traditional way . To the the uprights/spindals/frame on the front and the axle and frame on the rear.
