So glad to see this thread is active. I'm gearing up for my 1st time out in my 1990 Runner. I'm a noob to the whole off road thing, though it's had my interest for years, and it'll be the wife's 1st time off road on purpose (she's a little nervous). My Runner is a trailer queen, rough as a night in jail, and is a work in progress. Will be hauled to any orv park.
I'm in Clarksville, TN, not far from LBL/Turkey Bay. If anyone is interested, maybe look to end of October to hit the trails up there.

I might be able to go, but chances are I will either be tied up in Lex, have a non-streetable 4R, or both.
I'm in the Georgetown area and new to 4 Runners....but I do love it! I have spent alot of time on this forum and all I can say is it must be awesome to live in the Northwest or mountain areas. It seams that most everyone on this site has crazy awesome pictures of wheeling in remote places with awesome views.

I think I've got my vibrations solved, and I should be free during the day next weekend if anyone wants to go out to Slade (or somewhere else near Lexington). I don't think I'll have to time to make it all the way out to LBL or anywhere outside of an hour to two's drive.
Yeah, I think my plans are being derailed on the home front for the 28th. Maybe November before Thanksgiving. Open to invites, too, for those around the Clarksville, TN area. Doesn't have to be a 4runner. I'll run with whatever. Not looking for anything too hair raising, just some trail riding.
Update : I may be on for Saturday after all. Got to get the plenum back on, but that shouldn't take long. First run will have to be pretty tame for the wife, so we may roll solo and be very conservative. Still, if any want to meet up at LBL, it'd be good to have company. Will confirm later today.
It's all up to the mgmt at Turkey Bay at this point. Website says they close the trail if the ground is saturated, and it's been raining most of the day, not clearing til morning. There's a "Call before you haul" # , so I'll call in the morning. If it's open, I'm heading there, ETA before noon. Hope to see someone there.
My Turkey Bay plans were derailed at the last second by my 4runner. During final checks it would crank but not start. It had started 30 minutes prior, and I can't think of anything that changed in the interim. It's a mystery - one that I have to solve with it sitting on the trailer, so EXTRA FUN.

Anyone want to go do the DBBB, or at least some of it, on Feb 17 or 18? Weather permitting, obviously.
