I have a 99 limited that I bought last summer. The previous owner said that the ignition lock wore out, so he had just the ignition re-keyed. I have two keys: one for the doors, and one for the ignition. Also the tailgate lock is knocked out. I have the whole assembly, and it matches the door key.
2 Questions:
#1 is it possible to match a lock to a key? Can I get a locksmith to re-do the ignition lock to match the door key?
#2 or can I use the insides of the tailgate lock for the ignition?
