It's not the one that cam with my vehicle and bought it on ebay some months ago. It does not work well from any real distance and most times, even if i'm a foot from the car, i'll press the unlock button 10 times before it works, I can never get it to unlock "twice" for all doors unlocked. Could it be a battery? anyone else ever experience the same issues?
Keyfob, spotty at best.

I replaced the battery in mine and it improved. I also noticed that performs better when approaching the vehicle from the front right side, as I believe that's where the security module is in the engine compartment.

There is more than one kind of fob, but mine is a CR 3023. Very easy to find, even in supermarkets.

When I bought my 4runner the fob wasnt working. I threw in a new battery and it worked great for a few months. Then slowly I started loosing controls, starting with the rear window, then unlock. The lock button worked the longest and now that doesnt either. I need to try a new batter and see if that helps.
