It was time to get rid of the stock running boards. Now the plan was to go with rock sliders but it was my cake day and I prematurely sent the wife link to N-fabs before the sliders, sooooo I got N-fabs now lol. I cant complain since its a present and I do like the looks. I'll use them until I bash them bad enough but overall once the 3" lift goes in, they shouldn't be an issue.

The install was done alone, a bottle of beer helped out and will give you a timeline of how long this takes. As many mentioned before, whatever instructions you got, do the opposite. This means that the hoop goes to the front tire and not the rear. Also, one of the plastic end caps was all bent of shape so I put some silicone to keep it in place of the tube.

Annex

In addition to my TEPUI RTT, I ordered the Annex ($300) which I thought was a bit expensive but I figured i'll give it a try. Let me tell you, I love this thing. The only inconvenience is that needs to be packed up in its own bag size of a small sleeping bag and adds about 7-10 min to the camping set-up/pack up. Once you unfold the tent, the annex slides into the channels at the bottom of the tent, followed by some steaks going into the ground. The area just the left of the ladder has a metal zipper that work upside down. Wife and I found it very useful. IT gives you nice privacy area to change clothes to go the beach etc. Also, the 4 pair of shoes just stayed inside the annex for 3 days of camping. I'm planning to add a small folding chair inside so a person could sit down while changing etc. In extreme cases you could have a dry toilet set up, the area inside is about 50" x 40" or so.

P.S. Don't hate on the broken step at the bottom of the ladder (I need to fix it)

So it was time to get rid of the non-matching to anything chrome details on the truck. First time plastidipping and I gotta say if you watch the youtube videos and take your time, this stuff is awesome. I don't know how well it will hold up over time but I'll see. I went with flat black.
I got a bit of overspray at the bottom of bumper but some quick rubbing with fibercloth and it was all cleaned up. I have used some rubbing alcohol to clean up the areas, 6-7 coats since its hard to get all the contours around the letters with about 20 min wait between the coats. I love the look!

Not its time to buy the Plastidip spray unit and do the silver parts on the bumpers

Rig looks good. Just so you know, you could have popped the front emblem off and painted it, instead of masking off the front end.

Thanks! Yea, I wasn't sure how to pop it off and didn't want to break no clips. Took 10 min to mask it, no biggie.

Camping

Went camping over the weekend by Jasper National Park and later drove to through the coal mine to the Cardinal Divine Point outlook point. A few photos.

Gobi

Finally after waiting for 5 months I got my GOBI set up. I have removed the 3/4 Front Runner Rack and packaged it up (still for sale BTW:hatsoff

Spent majority of the day with my buddy and cold beers to install the GOBI rack with sunroof cutout and welded cross bars and ladder. I must say, I absolutely love the quality of this rack and ease of installation. I think with the sunroof open even less wind gets in rather than no roof rack at all. Two of us (420lbs stood on it together it the thing didn't even flex)...awesome quality. Plus it looks badass!

BBQ and Trucks

Hopefully, the local boys will not mind me posting this photo...:hatsoff:

Got together with the local club and had BBQ at the local TOYOTA dealership for Show n' Shine and some charity donations to local hospital. Great turnout!

I taped off only the area as shown in the photo. You can see the short video of how I was taking off the plastidip around the letters, it just cuts itself around the letters.

Do you have a shot of those skid plates mounted? Or still waiting on those? Curious to see how low they fit on KDSS trucks as I'm considering these myself.

Oh and if you know any good shops in town for parts, that would be great! Tired of those Gateway Toyota clowns as they still owe me my TRD skid plate money :redbrick:
