And yes the ladder clears just fine...
The rear shocks seem to be just fine. The rear hatch still opens is self up after you get it about half way up. And it's still has plenty of pressure to keep it up. One of the wife biggest complaints was the rear hatch was hard to close, it's a lot easier now.

It's just a matter of time. Soon, you'll be hitting your head on the hatch door and telling your wife to stop slamming it.

I just replaced mine with stronger shocks a few months ago, stock lasted much longer than I expected. My wife could barely reach it anyway and rarely drives my truck though...:lookout:

Did both of you just order the shocks from gobi or get them some where else?

Please don't waste your money on the expensive Gobi shocks...These are what you seek:

Sorry just saw you posted on here. Not sure what you are asking about front supports, could you please clarify?
As far as the removable crossbars, I could make a set in about a hour if I need to, I just don't have a need for them. We don't mountain bike or anything, and my skis and her snowboard get put in bags and placed on the roof rack.

Are these just sitting on the rain channel with 3m tape? I'm assuming you welded them on. Mine currently sit on my roof but I don't want to have to deal with my roof chipping cracking etc from any type of force. Even though I don't put anything on the front by my wind deflector.... In just trying to get ideas so I can fix my front supports when I have time

They are not welded on to the roof. They just sit ontop of the drip rails with foam between them. I've loaded many things up there with no problems. I've even walked up front on the rack while loading stuff and haven't had any issues.
