Hey guys names Shane, new member. I've got a major problem with my 4runner. I've had my local shop working on it. Here are the things i've had put in trying to chase this problem:
-New knock sensor
-New knock wire harness
-plugs & wires
-Used ECM with 6mnth warranty
-Timing Belt
So I'm comin here cause the dang thing still trips after a few yards of driving. Loses power to.... ANY IDEAS???

What year?
What engine?
What trans?
Can you give a little better description of the problem? It "trips" after a few yards of driving really doesn't tell us much.

ya sorry man. its a 95 SR5, 3.0 3VZ-E 4x4 with the 5speed. Both front hubs are blown out tho lol (too rough tryin to climb a hill).

So I put a rebuilt long block into the truck. Did it myself with little experience and i'm still runnin into problems. Most of it is figured out but this. The light won't come 0n when it's on a lift or on the dyno. It also doesn't come on if you just stay in first gear. As soon as I shift into second the light comes on. Also, it will cut out/misfire under 2000 rpm but above 2000 seems to run decent. I appreciate any feedback you can give

egr valve,egr temp sensor

you can try to bypass the egr - I have found that the 10k resistor mod is effective. Good luck
