been trying really hard to get the truck back on the road !!! Can't wait to drive it and see how it rides with new shocks. Just need a wheel alignmentupdate.
Im waiting on my mechanic to have time to do the wheel alignment. His shop can measure each side and tell you how high it is. So i want 1/2" rake and want all sides even. Anyways, tested out the new suspension. And it rides awesome, no rear sway bar at the moment so its all over the place.
I installed Mstudt cb radio mount. I had it mounted when working on the truck and kept getting caught on my pocket and bending it. When i opened my trunk and closed it, it smashed right into the mount. So i fixed it ! Also added door trim so it doesnt rub into the body.
My elocker breather and my axle breather both extended and zip tied together running to the gas cap area. I used a small metal fitting to extend the elocker breather that i got from ebay. I could not find one at lowes or home depot. 1/8 size fits snug into the oem elocker rubber line.

So first time i had to use my winch lol. The funny thing is. I made through this same spot with out a locker, only in 4WD. Someone must have rutted the crap out of it. I was like 1/2" from getting water inside the truck!!!
Then i started doing my 2nd grill. Satoshi v2. First one fell out, and i ran it over. Knowing already how to make this grill. I found a new grill form Amazon for $50 shipped NOT CHROME!!!!!! I CAREFULY cut out the center, saving the side walls!!!! only 2 little holes i had to patch because theres no way around. But I noticed a lot of times that people get a big hole from removing the thick center piece. I cut it down and left about 1/4" of it. Then sanded it down with a dremmel! Work out beautifully. Much stronger and better.

So i had very very little fiberglass to do. I am taking my sweet time with this. I put blue painters tape behind, so everything holds better when doing fiberglass. Then today i did the other side for support

Today I took a little trip to the Pine Barrens, Wharton State Forest. Had a blast ! So this was my first time there. I went to Atsion Office. Picked up a map from them. They showed me the trails that are "legal" for off roading. But in no way should you rut out the trails. It's simply for the scene! If they catch you making holes and abusing the trails you will get into trouble! So I met a Forest Poilce officer. Who was very kind and kind enough to show me around Wharton. He took me to Apple Pie Hill, Batsto, Washington.... No better person then the actual park police showing you around the forest. After a while, we split up.

yeah, its pretty sweet. I'll be going back there to explore more. Its little over 100k sqft so theres a lot to explore, pine barrens is little over 1million.
I want to go to Vermont and explore green mountain state forest. which is over 300k sqft.!

This is driver side back. I had to drill holes into the fenders to mount it, as much as i hate doing this. I had no other choice. But, i used RTV and rubber washers for tight seal.

Thank you. Those are amazon lights. I simply searched Rock lights. Then using the filter I chose 5 star rating. And went with the 5 star rating rock lights. They also have life time warranty.

I cannot complain for the price. With little bit of modification they fit perfectly flush against the fender. Also this is why I wired in the weather pack connector. If the lights take a dump. I simply disconnect them and wire in another light.
But so far so good.

While back, form wheeling at Wharton State Forest, my battery light came on. Alternator was taking a dumb on me. Few wacks with the hammer and i was good for little while. Till lately it started dying on me. So I had a old Denso alternator from my JDM motor that i took of. Its much bigger alternator so it would not fit. How ever i was able to take out the brushes and swap them. Which fixed the issue. Although it wasnt direct swap, i made it fit.
The one on the left is my original one. One brush is completely shot. Explains why the battery light would come on randomly. The one on the right is the donor. You can see some differences.

and mine, clearly some differences, not going to explain it. Just look at the photos
Donor cover on the left, and my on the right. The donor cover is much larger. Again the alternator is much larger. It would be nice to put that in, but im not sure how. As the pully is different also. Anyways, its hard to tell but the covers are little different to.
So the donor brush set has a plastic sleeve over it. The original has a rubber piece.
So i ordered 2 of the proper brushes for our alternator. One will be a spare. Its very easy to replace it. Could be done on a trail if needed. Easy and cheap insurance.

Then some goodies came in. 1/2 6point GearWrench sockets. sizes, 12-24mm. Got them for like $40 of amazon. Said they were used. But it was a open package. WHAT A STEAL!

The little craftman box is 3/8, and i got it for like $20. Has sizes form 8mm-18. But i threw in some spare ones. A 19mm and a deep 19 and spark plug socket. Everything is in a husky bag. I used to have a 4 draw tool box, but its to heavy and to loud.
