Kraze's Mall Crawler build thread

Bout tree-fiddy. But I'll knock off 100 for your sob story, so $250 and it's yours. I'll even throw in the bedliner... that's already sprayed on it. That's a deal.

Some loud mouth told me they refunded your money. So you paid $350, they gave you $350 back. Making your total investment $0, but you'll knock 100 off so you actually owe me $100 and the skid.

I took a business class once upon a time in college, so that's how I know--that's an excellent deal. Come by the house and I'll give you $100 to take the skid. Except the cost was actually over $400. But I know, it's way cooler to say 350, so I'll let that slide.

deal. I'm good.

I may need to switch my major from Mechanical Engineering to Business now hahaha

If Connor really wants to shake down Kraze on his price, he will bring a tarantula to the meeting to be.

But Kraze may want to hire the sniper who took out Connor's front tire way back when to accompany him to the meeting.

Staying tuned...

How did you know my plan? Do you work for the NSA? :suspicious:

And I figured I should probably do something useful with this thread, so I decided to list all of the recent maintenance that I've done, or that the previous owner has done (I know, boring, but oh well).

Indeed I do have a set of stock skids around here somewhere. You need them?

All the bolt holes may be stripped on mine, I could drill them all out and just use some home depot hardware, or I could convince you into paying me to take those away too

Edit- I'm going to go attempt to put mine on again. I'll probably order Savage skids next week anyways. Next time I see you I'll take that gas tank skid.

Nope, no NSA. Junior internal auditor for a company that does work in conjunction with the Navy.

One of Connor's first posts was describing how someone had shot out his front (right) tire during the night. In SD? I could envision him sweating at the keyboard as he typed. But his modding outdoes mine by a long shot now, so I'll be eating my words from here on out.

Wow Kraze, that is quite the list. I actually have some Downey CV boots lying around somewhere. Considering my 4Runner sees pavement 95% of the time, I just swapped my OEM axles out with some NAPAs and called it a day.

Redline fluid is very good stuff. Group IV synthetic oil. Their fuel cleaner is great.

I changed out my rear upper and lower control arms this weekend. I was going to switch out my panhard bar to the straight one I have and put new bushings in it, but the panhard bar bushings for both my bent one and the straight one didn't look too bad. I was still going to switch out the bent one for the straight one, but the metal sleeve in the bushings in the straight one were too wide to fit into my PHB drop, so I just put the bent one back in. It really isn't too much shorter at all, as you can see in the first picture.

Both the upper and lower control arm bushings were shot. Since replacing them, my 4runner no longer pulls to the left on acceleration, then to the right when I let off the gas like it used to.

Pictures below, and updated maintenance info too.

And here's the scratch again that supposedly bent the bar :noidea: :

You know you could tak an EMT bender (conduit) and work that bent bar back clost to straight. Just an idea is the sleeve the same wishes as the stock one. If so grind the post down and punt in the straight one. Come on, get dirty and get'r done!!!

Yeah, I was entertaining the idea of doing some grinding to get the straight one in, but I had to go to work, and having the bent one in there doesn't really concern me too much haha. So for now, the bent one will stay in there, and eventually when I have some free time, I'll change them out somehow.

How to wide is it? Surely Toyota didn't use two different mount widths in the same generation of vehicle.

Questions

I have a 99 sr5 and sometimes my back windows and the very back window will either not go down or when they go down they wont go up. Do you know the reason for that and any help is appreciated.
Thanks

This greatly depends on the tint .i can tell you for sure its either the button ,the motor or the wire ,but not the ecu or tranny regu switch.i think...EDIT:not trying to muck up the thread ,thought the random vague quoted post was a spoof since it wasn't relevant to this thread in any way .sometimes i just don't know what to make of peoples threads, real or not real ? I guess Couldn't help the "smart ass" in me ,my bad OP free bump carry on

This my first car and my parents bought it from a mechanic who tinted as far as he could go. So my dad had one of his buddies scrape the tint off but i dont know if their is tint still on and if so how much is. Also my windshield wipers went out and we think it is the motor. Do you think it would be better to go to a salvage yard and try to find one or go to a toyota parts dealer. And I know it sounds like my 4runner is falling apart but it isnt this is just the only problems.
