Latest nav DVD and Costco discount

My '08 T4R's factory navigation DVD has been woefully outdated for a couple of years, but I just couldn't see myself ponying up $200+ for the newest version. As many of you know, Toyota recently reduced the price to $169. That's better, but what made me bite was the e-mail I got from the Costco Auto Buying program (through which we bought our T4R) that offered 15% off parts, service and accessories through their affiliated dealers.

I called the Parts department and they said they had one left, so they put it aside and I picked it up this aft.

You need to be a Costco member, but I don't think you had to have purchased a vehicle through their Auto Buying program. You most likely, however, will need to logon to Costco.com and register your e-mail with the program. Not sure about that. If anyone else who didn't buy their vehicle through the program tries it, let us know.

Didn't know I got a 15% discount on parts as a Costco member. I'll have to try that the next time I need something. Thanks.

I forgot to mention that you need to show the parts person at the dealer your Costco membership card when you pick up your parts. They verify the account. Again, only Costco affiliated dealers honor the discount.

The title of my original post should probably read "Discount on Toyota Parts, service and parts to Costco members at participating dealers."

haha, nice catch! Anyone know if Sam's Club has any type of deals like this throughout the year? I never really pay attention to it.

Thanks for posting this. While I don't have the NAV, I didn't know I could use this to get a parts discount whenever I walked in to the dealer. I just logged into Costco Auto and checked it out and it works....Printed my coupon - off to get some parts tomorrow!
