LBJ / LCA replacement

here is the picture your hunting. this is OEM parts (but i had them chemi blacked) standard would be silver.

parts you need are assembled into the front joint, also i positioned another set next to it for clarity. you will need all loose parts shown. Per side of car. 90119-14120 $8.25 (just the threaded bolt)

here is the rear joint: you need all parts loose, again i assembled a set into the joint for clarity.

here is the whole assembly :

here is the UCA hardware which i did get new. these fit as expected, i did not assemble them into arm. those washers are expensive, like $20 a pop.
90080-17208 $4.32, 90948-A2002, 18.52, 90105-A0095 $17.17

scary prices for hardware, but, I brought new LCA / UCA at reasonable price, i can afford to get decent hardware, i have to cut mine out so i got all of the above hardware for both sides with both uca, Lca .

anyone has OEM part numbers for other parts feel free to holer.

Thanks for the info! I definitely have the wrong set and will be returning them. I just need to find all the correct part numbers for the front and rear cam assemblies and get them ordered.

single piece for sale recently for sale section at good price.

OK, I can confirm the same parts listed above from the dealer. Here's the info with all part numbers and a diagram with parts in red. This is the list for one LCA, double the quantities if doing LCAs on both sides. I ordered these online through the dealer, so it saved a little money. Total for both sides comes to $151.08 after tax.

1. Camber Cam Assembly 48190-60020 - $13.03
2. Cam Nut 90179-14069 - $1.75 (invoice says 90178-A0001, both work)
3. Camber Adjust Plate 48198-6011 - $12.56
4. Control Arm Bolt 90119-14120 - $7.42
5. Toe Cam Sub Assembly 48409-60020 - $16.57
6. Toe Adjust Plate 48452-35020 - $17.67

#2,3, and 6 should be salvageable...save about $30

cant remember if i could save #6...it could potentially be saved depending how the bolt is cut and if there is enough bolt to possibly vice grip

Good to know. I'm not sure how badly mine are seized. I just got all the parts in case he has to replace them all.

A1 autos seem to be out of stock of their complette upper and lower control arm assy.
any leads on a good affordable source for these control arms?. the 1A autos assy was $220 for the 4 control arms, buying single units from rockauto is about $500.

I just ordered the Detroit Auto kit on ebay. I dont offroad or anything crazy, just a daily driver. Upper and lower controls arms, inner and outer tie rods, and sway bar end links for ~$200.

am leery of DTA parts, bought their tierod assy last time, and the boots didnt fit, hole was too wide:target:
they have low prices though, did you compare them with the oem you changed out??

I just ordered them, they haven't been delivered yet. I'll try and remember to take pics when I get the stock ones out, assuming I don't have to cut the arms out due to seized cam bolts.

Unfortunately I never installed them. I checked for any play in my suspension after I ordered the kit, and while its not 100% solid, its solid enough for me to know its not causing my vibrations. My next step is replacing my front wheels bearings/hubs, which im doing tonight.

2006 4Runner v6 4x4 With 196k miles.

My Lower control arm bushings were shot so i replaced them with 1a auto LCA. I had to cut one of the alignment bolts out. I put 2k so far on the 1a auto LCA so far and have no issues.

I was going to go with Detroit Axle kit which was the uper control arms, inner and out tie rods, lower control arm, etc.....but after reading amazon reviews and reviews from other forms, apparently Detroit Axle isnt that good. It will work for a little bit but then just fails in as little as 10k. Worth spending a little more money in my opinion.

As far as Upper control arms, I would check craigslist or other platforms for 5th gen 4Runners selling theirs. I got some 5th Gen Upper control arms for $30 on craigslist with 7k on them. Fits the 4th gen just fine.
