LC 9wrap or 8 wrap?

I picked up complete suspension from a 92 cruiser this weekend including the Rancho RS5000 shocks.

The springs are 9.25 wraps. Since these are the original springs and have undoubtedly settled some, am I still looking at about 5 inches of lift? If so that seems like more rake than I want.

I saw a pair of 7.5/8 wraps in the classifieds that I may go for assuming they will be more in the 4 inch lift range giving more like an inch or rake if I go with a 3 inch front lift.

What would you do?

Also, the Rancho shocks have about 30k on them. Is it worth keeping them and running them a while or just trash them and buy new?

Do you have any rear weight? My rig with all its armor is sitting at just over 3.5" of rear lift with 9 wraps. If no weight I would probably go with the 7/8 set. You'll be sitting really tall with unweighted 9 wraps.

No real weight right now. Eventually will hopefully add armor and bumpers but its down the road.

Thats what I was thinking on the shocks. I'll likely just run them for a while and swap them if needed.
