LC coil spring Color codes

99 4runner "Highlander" coils... they have a specific code also. do a search for those or PM ChildrenofBodom he has those on his Runner.

There is more weight on the drivers side due to the gas tank. You should put the taller one on the driver side

ok i read the entire thread, good info but for my 2nd gen 4runner do i use the front or rear LC springs cause i thought i need the rear but now im not sure?? I just want to get rid of the sag and maybe lift it 2-3inches... thanks:hello:

For the 2nd gen you will use the Rear LC coils. I don't know the measurements on how much each will lift you though.
I think there are threads on Yotatech and Ih8mud that may have more info on lifting 2nd gens with LC coils.

Ive got what i was told are 8.5 wraps off a LC. I bought these from theizzardking a couple months to replace my 890s and have been happy with them since. Today i noticed that im sitting over an inch higher at the passenger rear than the drivers side.
Here is a picture of the passenger coil. It looks to be double purple/blue/white
Drivers
Purple/Green/White
Im pretty sure when i put these in i put the longer coil on the drivers side to compensate for the gas tank and driver weight, so why am high on the passengers side even when my gas tank is empty? The only thing I can think to do is pull them out and swap them.

based on the color codes you did the right thing as technically, the purple green white are generally about .5 longer/higher than the others.
My guess is that they originally came off of different LC with different mileage... I preferred to keep pairs from the same vehicle together. Unfortunately, some of the sets we find are mixed sets and we put them together the best we can.
Swapping them should even them out a bit...

So i just got finished swapping the coils, now im completely confused.
Before
8 3/8 Inches of space between tire/fender on the driver side
9 1/2 Inches on the passenger
After
8 3/4 Inches of space between tire/fender on drivers side
10 Inches of space on the passenger
WTH is going on here? My gas tank has less than a gallon left in it im afraid if i fill if up the runner will roll over!
Theres no way the drivers side is that much heavier, it shouldnt have made it worse!
somebody has to know whats going on here.

Two things that you have to make sure of is: that the top is set properly into the inset on the frame and that the bottom is rotated and sitting properly. The bottom is easy to check and also get correct. The top can easily not be correct (on the frame there is a locating ring that the spring/rubber jounce bumper recesses into for proper location). If the spring/bumper is sitting on that ring, you will have extra lift (not a good thing to have happen).
If everything is correct, you may need to add an OME 10mm trimpacker OME Trim packer 10mm OME80PF10 to level things out.

Hi guys just looking for a little help. 97 limited 4runner and i found these in my area 1 set Front FZJ80 Coils 6" diameter 7.5 Wrap 18.5" tall. Will these work for rear lift for about 3inch lift. Any help would be great, ive asked what colors they are am im waiting on his answer. Thanks

I'm sure your answer is here in this thread somewhere.
And now the disclaimer: depending on the miles/use on the coils and also the weight in your rig, the actual lift gained will vary. About the only way to know is to try them.

They will probly give you closer to 4 or 4.5" of lift
