once the bottom seat is all the way on, I just made X's and cut off the extra leather to allow the metal to come through. Same goes with the head rests and just tuck it under so it looks great

as stated earlier in the post you should let it sit out in the sun for a few hours, but its hot enough down here and I need the vehicle tomorrow so Ill let the TX heat take the wrinkles out.

heres the installed pics

the flash makes the wrinkles look horrible but its not that bad lol

Nice work. It's really more of a patience job than a difficult job, and your efforts paid off. If it's rushed you'll end up with f'd up seats.

That looks great! That looks like my next project! Two kids and cloth just don't go together. I saw that it came with door material. Any thoughts of installing it?

Great job!!

I agree with all, this is a great post. Not many (or any) have done this mod themselves. Excellent job, doesn't look too difficult to do.

I saw someone say to let the seat sit in the sunlight to get the wrinkles out. I totally agree, this is what a professional installer did on my 4Runners in south america (when I lived there).

That's for sharing! :nicethread:

Hey guys, ok as for the door material, I decided I liked the stock cloth better since its more of a suede feel and has the nice stitching in it, the leather is just flat and kinda lame IMO. 90% the wrinkles have gone away with the heat, I didnt have a chance to let the seats sit in the sun but its pretty simple to remove the seats so I may do it one day, most likely not though. Leather is top notch, I wouldnt hesitate to do this again-

They do but mine dont have the side airbags, so I just had to cut off the straps. Im sure whatever the factory method of the seat coming apart with enough pressure is the same with this aftermarket kit. Im not 100% sure though

Yea nice work! Im iffy on the look of the stock sports edition seat cloth so this is something I might undertake at some point.

thanks guys, as for the PMs its still holding up great and I dont regret the install at all
Sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead. I just searched ebay and I can't find anything like yours. Do me a favor please and take a look at the listings and let me know if you see something like this that looks like the ones you installed.

It looks really good. I'd be interested in getting some two-tone version to brighten up the interior.
