First let me disclose I do have a Black Oak light bar. I am not saying they are rebranded Aurora bars. I got that info off of other forums where others have said they "look" like aurora bars from the pictures. None of the people had any hands on experience with them so they might be right, they might be wrong. I have no hands on experience with aurora bars so I can't say and forums are full of wrong info and people talking out of their arsh so I won't say one way or the other because I Don't know. Other reviews were saying that black oak was trying to make a run at rigid, baja, kc and the like with quality vs price. I have only owned mine 2 months so only time will tell if I made the right choice. The only reason I spent the money on 1 was I was mounting it behind the grill and to replace it if it went out, you have to remove the whole front grill/ bumper cover. If I were mounting a bar in a place that was easier to change or be stolen, I definitely would have bought a cheaper bar. From what I've read, not all cree/ orsam light bars are equal. After the led chips are made, they are sorted. The companies like rigid, vision x, and supposedly black oak pay for the top bin chips and everybody else pay for the lower bin chips, hence part of the price difference between the cheap bars and the more expensive bars. You will see with a lot of the cheaper bars, a lot of people will say when you get them, take the cover off and run a bead of silicone around them and put the cover back on. This has to do with part of the ipk rating. They aren't sealed as well as the top brands and from what I've read, dust and moisture are the number one killers of led light bars after heat. The companies that have the higher ipk ratings spent more time making sure their lights are sealed. The top companies will generally have better quality control and the chance of getting a bad bar will be less but whether they are worth the extra money only you can make the decision. I have friends that with cheap bars that have never had a problem while others with the exact same bars take a dump on them. If the sso bumper allows for easy access to the light bar, give the cheaper bars a serious look as you really can save a lot of money. If you look at how it is going to be mounted and you think to yourself, boy I hope I never have to replace it, think about buying a top tier bar. That's just my 2 cents and it may not even be worth that.
P.S. I am not a light bar expert by any means. I didn't know anything about them so I tried to read as much as I could about them before I made my choice. I can only regurgitate some of what I've read so it may not be worth much but I also don't like it when people say this or that with nothing to back it up and really don't know themselves. If you know, back it up like these are rebranded these or similar and if you don't, you're just talking out your arsh.
