LED Blinker Hyperflash

I know this has been asked a million times but I can’t find an answer right now and my car needs to pass inspection soon. How do you get LED blinkers not to hyper flash. I’m assuming it’s a resistance thing does anyone know if you can just put a resistor in the circuit to trick it what Ohm?

You'll have use a hyper flash relay and install it on the back of the ecu by the driver door. Here is a video

Install a LED turn signal flasher (CF 18). The pic says Subaru but Toyota uses the same flasher / relay.

On my Civic I have a Sylvania Resistor installed ($15) and spliced both ends - one to the ground and the other to the blinker. It's still working fine and the blinkers work great.

I used this relay from Napa when I installed LED blinkers and it does work. No more hyperflash.

Swap the relay, skip the resistors.

With bad luck, a hot resistor can start a fire... I've bought a bike that suffered that fate to use it as a track bike. Nevermind that it's just a sloppy way to fix the problem.

Install a LED turn signal flasher (CF 18). The pic says Subaru but Toyota uses the same flasher / relay.

3rd-gens don't use CF18s, those are for 4th-gens.

I would do a little more than run a single, tiny LED for a turn signal, that doesn't seem very safe

I used a adjustable flasher relay has knob on relay you turn to match load. 3 yr so far.

Back in the 90’s they were just called electronic flash relay. My 94 ram had one factory because of the trailer lights. They are loud when in use.

I used one on (spare from my truck) my motorcycle XL600 enduro when I canned the factory stalks for bark busters with built in led turn signals. Worked great

i think that now most LED lights are better.now i also know that there is cheap crap out there.....not only the bulbs but the flashers.
i switched all my exterior bulbs to led....well not head lights. Bulbs that many said were good to go. I also used a flasher relay rated for led's...from amazon...cheap.
i did not get hyper flash after that.....but I got an issue where if I stepped on brake ped that both rear turn signals light up dull but also on dash. here on the forum it was suggested I had a bad ground. I went through it all. then one day a member here said dont trust cheap flasher relays. so I went and got one from napa for LED's.....well other than the pain in the butt location for the relay....that fixed my issue.
all the realys come from china i bet...but then there is a better version...and a cheap as cr*p version. same with bulbs.

Thank you for sharing! I have already bought it, and it works great. I needed new blinkers for my car, and I am glad I bought such bulbs. I destroyed my old ones because my dad pranked me. He bought me a car after I got my driver's license and said I needed blinker fluid. I found it on Amazon, and it arrived in one day. My father wasn't at home, so I watched videos of how to do it, and I found another prank that made a tutorial. I didn't think it was a prank, so it stopped working after inserting the blinker fluid.

I used these, HUIQIAODS 12V CF14 JL-02 3 Pin Adjustable Electronic LED Flasher Relay for Turn Signal Bulbs work great and can be adjusted to your liking. Used them in 3 different 4runners now. No problems.
