LED bulbs in front turn signals with incandescent bulbs in rear?

Hello!

I'm getting a steel front bumper soon which means I'll also be using LED lights for my front turn signals. I know that I'll need to upgrade the flasher relay to one that is designed to work with LEDs (to avoid hyperflashing) but can anyone confirm that I'll also need to replace the rear turn signal bulbs with LEDs as well? Or will the new flasher relay work correctly with a combination of LED bulbs in front and traditional bulbs in the rear?

You shouldn't have to replace your rear bulbs with LEDs. I switched to LEDs in the front and never touched my rear bulbs and after installing the relay the flashing speed was back to normal.

I went with LED Brake and Turns because they are brighter and Faster than Halogen.

My rear turns light up the lane next to me...

Yeah, I read that can happen depending on the relay used. Apparently there is a relay that has a speed adjustment knob that has gotten good reviews on these forums so I'll probably use that one.

You can mix LED with incandescent.

I used a Tridon flasher and the flash speed was a little quicker and the clicking wasn't as loud.

I agree with this. Your not talking about a lot of money or time and makes your rig so much more visible from the back ( brakes and turns) I also did led back up light bulbs (much gooder) and LEd parking lights up front that are bright enough to act as day time driving lights ( I did the driving light delete mod on my headlights)

You can use LEDs and incandescent bulbs together and you do not need to replace the flasher, just wire in an inline resistor when you hook up the LEDs.

I just buy the leds with the resisters built in. As in certain conditions. The diodes will not let fuses burn out and melts things down.
