You sound miserable. And would rather waste money than spend 10 minutes on the phone cause you are so busy. lol

funny how it takes 0.05 seconds and NO tools to put a regular dome light in. you must have a lot of free time.

time is money, maybe your time just isn't worth that much?

Fair enough. I just figured since everyone else in this thread who has used that company has had a good experience then you may be the unlucky one who got a mis-shipped order or defective parts. It doesn't take long to send a message to them explaining your problem. You may be surprised at the outcome.

guess what the outcome was? the vampirization of more of my time asking for pictures of the defective items and a side by side of the old dome and new dome.....

they are complete and utter assclowns of the 10th degree

i find it odd how random keyboard warriors will jump at a moments notice to defend a company that they have nothing to do with and no investment in?

I spent 10 or 15 working on the dome light. I could get it to stay for short periods but it always popped out. Went back and got panels with an adapter. Much brighter and it never pops out.

Just thought I would post something positive here. I have no affiliation with Precision LED whatsoever to be clear. I took advantage of the Black Friday deal they had going on and got the premium set including the mirror lights and reverse lights. Everything installed smoothly and I am very happy with the light output. I can post photos later if needed. Yes they are expensive, but after the trouble I had with multiple ebay LED's, I decided to upgrade.

To address the previous posts: I have no loyalties here. I just find that going through life acting any way other than a miserable human being is the way to go. I like to assume that people are proud of the products and/or services they offer until proven otherwise.

Wasn't complaining just letting folks know my solution. Also the panels are way brighter then the les that they sent: 4 leds vs 18 leds.

Very pleased other than the fact I was short by two lights (rear door foot lights)...had to order another pack. Will post some pics once I get a night shot.

I ordered and installed the same ones. Is it me or are they not that bright?

Correct, they're not that bright, because those bulbs are older 5050 smd with about 15 lm each. They give off a blue tint with a color temp of 6,000k.

I installed the same set, thought the same thing, so installed some newer 5630 smd led bulbs with about 45 lm each. These have a color of 5,000k, or bright white. Amazing difference from getting a higher quality bulb, probably twice as bright as the 5050s.

Got mine off ebay for $28.

Anyone ever thought of putting Red lights in the lower door's? Just an idea, remember back in the day some town cars would come with red lights in the bottom for when you open them people would know it was an open door on the side of the road or something so I assume.

I installed the full kit in about 30 minutes (not including the puddle lights-they came with the kit but the TRDPro doesn't have that option).
The LEDS shown are the 6000k.
The Toyota 4Runner Interior LED Package Includes:
Map (2) + Dome (1) + Courtesy (6) + Trunk (2)
I also purchased the vanity mirror, reverse and license plate LED's plus the tools. I would recommend spending a couple of bucks on the tools.
The youtube video is a big time saver, watch it.

The photos show the LED and Halogen. The interior is just the map lights.

I can vouch for the yitamotor LEDs from eBay that dekeman linked to. Just make sure you are getting the 5630 SMDs. Those are the "deluxe" LEDs.

Like this? I used some side-firing LEDs since the bulb is mounted sideways in those lights. I've also since added red reflective tape to the insides of the door jambs for extra visibility at night with the door(s) open.

I received the Check It Auto set from Amazon for Christmas. These use the 5050 Leds, polarity specific, so you'll have to test before completing the reinstall. The precisionLED video is great. Just note that the side to pry for courtesy door lights (at 5:02 of the video) and rear trunk lights (at 16:08 of the video) changes when going from DS to PS.

I picked up tools at Harbor Freight for $8. These bulbs are brighter than OEM, so much that I turned off the map lights when i enter, and use the spillover from the middle dome light. The main reason for this mod is my kids tend to leave the lights on after searching for stuff in the car, and I don't want a dead battery in the morning.

You won't be all that happy with those 5050s, and do not use that wimpy LED for a reverse light. Far superior for the back up lights is a modified 886 bulb — they're probably brighter than the OE DRLs. Plenty of Tacoma and FJ owners have done this too with great results.

Has anyone on here with a 5th gen actually bought the Precision Led kit? I contacted them because the numbers seemed wrong, they responded back saying they verified the numbers are right. I'm ready to buy but it still seems odd that it comes with 4 dome lights and 1 trunk light.

they are stupid ****ing *******s that need to be avoided like the plague
