LED kits for 5th generation 4runner(Help needed)

Looking back on my comments it seems I may have taken a extra sarcastic pill. While my thinking has not changed I do want to apologize for the manner I expressed my thoughts :peace:

It takes a stronger man to admit mistakes. I hope I can be as strong. Good job.

Can someone post pics of the interior light installation for those of us who are mechanically challenged? I am having trouble with the puddle lights, center dome lights, tailgate lights and the lights above the center console (pretty much the entire interior lights!). I don't want to break clips and spend more money installing the lights. Thank you in advance.

The only lights that I actually figured out are the lights above the sun visors (the clip location is on the left hand side for both sides; just insert flat head screw driver from the left and it will pop off) and the license plate lights.

I don't know if you saw http://www.toyota-4runner.org/915241-post152.html . It should help you with some of the problems you have like puddle and center console lights... Those links within the post do a better job of explaining the process.

I'm sorry, who to contact for these? I just need the passenger dome and the reverse lights. Thanks!
The OP is So_LED. He's the one selling these.

Map lights:
- Open the sunglasses holder and look up inside of it.
- Unscrew the 2 screws
- Slightly slide the whole upper center console backwards and it should come down. If it needs some gentle persuasion, do it, but gently.
- Directly above the lights are 2 twist out caps. Untwist 1/4 turn and pull them out.
- Change out the bulb.

Rear hatch lights:
- The rear hatch doors remove with a screwdriver from the drivers side between the plastic frame and hatch. The spring clip is deep in there, so just push a little farther when you're wondering how far it should go. That was the point it popped out.
- Reassemble that cover to the light housing before putting those back in the rear hatch.
- The center dome light replacement is BRIGHT, maybe too bright? I am considering a small light to replace the large panel. Either way, it's a tight fit, but with a little effort, it will seat in there.
- If the LED doesn't light up, try flipping it around. You probably have the leads reversed.

Center console light:
- Gently pry the cover off from the front of the vehicle side.

Mirror lights are covered in the thread already

Door lights:
- These all opened from the bottom right side of the light, actually underneath on the right.
- There is an odd shaped cover over the bulb. Remove that via the large clip, but be careful when reinstalling it on your LED.

Reverse lights:
- The manual shows to open the rear panel from the side closest to the vehicle front, and about 2" up. Easy to pop out.
- The middle one is another twist out housing.
- Hit the parking brake and make sure the lights work. DO NOT LOOK INTO THEM. THEY ARE BRIGHT AS ****.

I installed mine this afternoon, and they are stellar and BRIGHT. I can't tell you how much I hate the standard 2-3k yellow color lighting that is typically seen. Anyway, these look to be in the 5k range, and just as jhawk's pictures show, these are BRIGHT. My wife even liked it.

It took a little while for my lights to get here, but the important thing was that they arrived, work well, and it's a pretty easy installation. I only needed 1 phillips head and 1 flat head screwdriver for everything. Great mod and well worth the time.

On the dome light, there is a metal bracket above the light housing. By accident, I popped the metal bracket loose and had to remove the entire light to get the bracket back on....

Just in case anyone runs into this issue, there are plastic levers on both sides of the light housing. Once you slide these back to the outside, the entire housing will come off, but do not force it. Once I figured it out, it was pretty simple....

Where do I find the website for this company to place an order?
Hint: I don't want to read 13 pages to find it.

All the request for kits above will receive pm;s when I have restocked! Also for the Canada buyers, pls pm me so you can get your customs form number! I would like to make sure to cover all bases here!

Lastly, hope everyone's kits are working well!

Hi, replied to your e-mail, yet no response?

Let me know what I can do to get this LED Kit paid for as discussed.

Thanks,

MeBe4Running

I'm not sure about the reverse lights. Mine dont seem to light up the backside like in Jhawk's pictures. The interior LEDs are great.
