i used LED strips from v leds and not a regular bulb. working on the a/c controls as we speak. some issues with the way it turns out.

you used strips on the cluster? I've got a strip of 20 or so white LEDs. Maybe Ill do the same depending how the hotspots look with the new reds.

i used 3 total 2 12 inch 1 6 inch they are super bright almost annoying but that is easly solved with the dimmer switch.

This is what I based my order off of for my 2001 but I wanted to update. Just an FYI, my HVAC controls need a quantity of 3 of the NEO4s, not 2.
The NEO3s are tricky to get in but once you shove them down in there they will work. I actually clipped the locking portion off of the new LEDs and it was fine.
They sent me the wrong 74 for the shifter light, so I will have to reorder that...and I have yet to swap out my cluster lights...although I did them in white a year or so back.

Now I am totally lost lol.
I have a 2000 4Runner, Base, 4cyl and I know I need the following lights,
Gauges (x3, #24)
Climate Controls (x2, #74)
ECT/RR Window (x2, Neo Wedge A)
Shifter (x1, #74)
Ash Tray (x1, #74)
Key Ring (x1, #74)
Power Outlet Ring (x1, #74)
Glove Box (x1, #74)
But what size of the 24s, 74s and Neo wedges do I get? Autoillumination has like several different size and it is confusing which ones I need or want. I know I want the five way led for the gauges and maybe the three way gauges for the climate controls. But do they fit?
Also what number bulb do I need for the license plates?

Yeah, it's the CDE-HD137BT so it streams your music via bluetooth which is the main reason I like it. It's got a bunch of other cool features like front USB and 1/8" jack, HD radio, and 3 low level outputs as well. Under $200! I haven't grabbed it yet but it's on my short list, especially since I did the color change!
I used the 24's just like most everyone else here for the instrument cluster, and I do have hot spots. They don't show up too bad in the, pic and nobody else seems to notice. Honestly, they don't bother me either.

The cluster took 3 of these:
I think I used like 9 of these in various parts of the dash. Just order 10 to be safe....
The "AC" button, rear window switch, and ECT/Defrost took these. (3 total)
The cigarette lighter is a PITA. Had to make this work by throwing stuff and swearing a bit...
These things are pretty fragile. I actually broke a couple but had a few extras. Haven't messed with the door switches yet or the clock.

thread re-kindling time! i cannot find the [924-xHP Wedge Base LED bulb] on VLED's or online in fact... am i just blind or what's the secret here? i'm in the middle of changing all y lights, so this and the A/C button are all i have left....
