i think the dome light would've been just 10 seconds had i just left it at that angle you guys are talking about. But OCD me wanted to make it fit the way it "should've" fit... horizontally.

I had it angled and was worried that it might fall out later. So when I pushed harder to get it to fit horizontally the housing popped out and then I had to go in and fix everything. Thus all the extra work.

After installed the deluxe LED set from ebay seller Yitamotor I'm not sure if I really like the set. It's a bit too blue imo, I had a set for my GS300 awhile ago that was more pure white. May search for another seller or learn to like the blue hue.

You can get bulbs, at least the the festoons, in different color temperatures. Take a look at my comparison pictures on page 2 of this thread. I mistakenly bought the "warm white" festoon bulb and it looked pretty close to the stock bulb.

If you use something like "T10 warm white 5630" on ebay, there are lots that show up. The key is that you want the 5630 LED's instead of the 5050 LED's. The 5630's are quite a bit brighter.

Mostly based on what I bought it seems like the terms:
"Warm White" will get you a 4500K - 5000K color temperature
"Pure White" or "Xenon White" will get you a 6000K color temperature

Like TDiddy, I had some issues with the seller yitamotor. The kit was short a few T10s and I couldn't finish the install. Tried to resolve via email and, oddly, the seller disappeared and didn't answer several messages. I hadn't yet rated the buy on eBay, but after firing a warning shot, I provided a crappy rating and - surprise! - they quickly reestablished contact. Go figure. (I had ordered four more on Amazon in the meantime)

They offered to send more T10s, which they did. See photo below. Originals on the right, replacements on the left. Not the same, eh? I stuck these higher powered units in the map lights, which is a very tight fit. Yep, they're bright, real bright, but I'm sort of liking it. Put two more in the license plate lights. Even tighter fit. Not digging that so much. But I am pretty confident that I have the brightest plate lights in the county. Or country.

So I'm left with enough 5630 T10s to swap them all to the originals. Question is, what cool thing can I do with the handful of extras I have left over? Ideas welcome.

Use the SUPER bright ones for BACKUP/REVERSE light.

Or the under the exterior mirror.

And put them into your other cars..... I ended up putting my extras in my 911 and my 3rd gen 4Runner.

Sorry I have been slacking.

I bought the V-LEDs 29mm festoon. I installed it, but as I was installing it, I thought, hey, maybe I could put some metal foil tape to help reflect the light. So here are pics. I am going to have to come back and edit this post after I found a link to the LED.

I notched the foil on both edges so I didn't bridge the electrical contacts. The rest is a peace of cake. (Turn the switch to off in case your wife, soon to be ex-wife, or kids decides to open the door while you are checking fit, just saying).

I punched a hole in the top to let heat out. I am pretty sure when its 0F it won't be a problem, but in the summer time when the inside of the car for sure can reach at least 120F, who knows .....

and then the festoon inserted. I had to bend the angle back after all the damage I had done with the 31 mm ....

Metal foil tape can be found at Home Depot or Menards. Oh and I didn't need that kit; I lost it in my work room, I just used this small screwdriver, and had that youtube video on my smart phone to show me where to pry - that is the key.

Edit: I think I bought the wrong color from VLEDs. The color of the dome doesn't match the others. Might be the 6K would be better. I am done spending money on freaking LEDs so I will never know.

I told yitamotor that I would email him when I was completely done. I wanted to make ABSOLUTELY sure the bulbs in the t4R were correct.

And I didn't email him.

I will get to it this weekend.

Its like the guy just does not believe me when I tell him there are T10 in the doors, I even told him to watch the video on youtube, you can see for yourself. He seems to think the same bulbs work fro 2002 to 2012, nothing for 2013, and then 2014-2015.

I am guessing he sells a lot more Ford F150 than T4R or Tesla.

Anyone found a good enough reverse light that's bright enough? I need something that's going to light up as bright as or brighter than stock... I know it has been discussed already just wondering what type of bulbs you guys use if any?

I swapped out all but my puddle lights - not sure if i want to take apart the entire mirror yet hah.

Great easy MOD, and really improves the light in the truck. Cell phone pics but you get the idea. The kit for the 2011 that I got was one T10 short on my order, at 20 bucks I just ordered another kit and now have plenty of extra bulbs.

I need 3 more T10 to replace with the 31mm.

Did any of you guys have a problem with a bulb flickering? I installed the set earlier today and all was perfect, then I just got in my car and the passenger side map light is flickering. I'll try swapping it out with a spare, just worried some of the others might start doing this too. Here's a 10 second video.

Best I got was 10x T10 (2x Vanity, 2x Map, 4xDoors, 2x License Plate), 3x 31mm (2x Hatch, 1x Dome)
