LED Turn Signal Bulbs

I’ve seen a number of older cars (not just 4Runner) with LED turn signal bulbs in the OEM light housing. Anyone have experience with these? Any specific brands that are recommended?
I bought a used 04 4Runner and have to change a burnt out bulb so was debating going the LED route.

If it were me, I would. I replace failed tail lights, brake lights, etc, with LED's as they happen. Under normal usage, they should last beyond the rest of the truck.

even if you change out to led bulbs, 7440 for signals in the rear, I would still change out the flasher to an led compatible flasher relay. its about 15-20 bucks and its located in the rear of the inside fuse box.

changing the relay will make it flash at the normal rate, no more hyper flash.

only thing that's going to change is your lights wont flash with the factory keyless.

I don't use that since I have an aftermarket alarm/remote start system.

I’m definitely a fan of LED but you need to do it right. I’ve seen too many issues with cheap stuff from Amazon, eBay, Autozone, etc that are either not very bright, flicker, and/or burn out quickly. Diode Dynamics is a good brand.

I just got new Ebay black headlight housings, and decided to upgrade to LED blinkers as the stock units were too dim. I bought them from AuxitoLED for ~$45, couple months in, so far so good. They've got a cooling fan and built in resistors to not have the fast flash. Super bright as well.
