Let's Play a Game: What's That Noise?

Hey guys,

I have these Icon Stage 1 for about 8-9 months and they are progressively getting noisier and louder every time I go through a dip/speed bump/driveway. Have someone experienced this and possible remedy?

Almost sounds like a squeaky rubber bushing somewhere?

Cool videos BTW, it's kind of fun to see the suspension at work, lol.

Definitely sounds like it's coming from the UCA's...

If you suspect the UCA...

Jack up the vehicle, remove the tire, loosen the bolts on the UCA, compress the upper and lower arms with a jack until upper arms are level or a little higher, re-torque upper UCA bolts.

Sometimes shops will tighten suspension components while it's lifted on the rack causing some binding when lowered.

See if that works. If not, then on to the next thing... Spray lube or pull off the UCA's and lube the poly bushings then checking your lower shock mounts.

was going to suggest the same.
but, I think I would just do with the tires on the ground. assuming there is enough clearance to get to the bolts.
that way they will be sitting in the correct position.

its more than likely the UCA uniball. My TC's do it from time to time. try some tri flow on the uniball and it should go away

I had the noise like that in front- it was my LR UCA not lube enough inside where bushings are and in the rear i had the same noise it was my shocks, which i send to Icon and they said the valve was bad so they replace and no more noise in the back. I re lubed my UCA and noise went away too. I only had that noise when going over speed bumps.

I have similar sounds coming from mine as well but I'm not running Icon. It's most likely the bushings in the UCA's.
