I saw those after doing some more research yesterday and trying to decide between those and the SPC's from Amazon... The JBA's look great and seem to get good reviews but the SPC's seem more popular

+1 for JBA's. Great quality and the ball joint is really easy to replace if needed. The newly designed ball joint looks even better than the one I got.

Couple of days ago I got to install the new Icon Stage 2 suspension. It was a super fun project and much easier than I thought it would be. Next up going from factory 17" wheels down to 16's from a '04 runner and Goodyear Wrangler MTR Kevlar tires 285/75/16. Not the sexiest pics but for those that like wrenching you understand :jump: Notice the new UCA ball "Delta Joint".

This brought the whole rig up 3" front and rear. With additional rear load I think it'll ride perfect.

I started out having the shop install the 285's thinking I could clear them since I was already clearing 265's with no lift..... BIG HUGE NO..... When they backed out of the bay I thought the 285's were going to rip my front bumper off lol. They looked awesome but with the 2.5" lift/HeloHE878/285s your only option would be driving straight haha. I was bummed that I had to pull them off and go with 265s but there was no way. It was rubbing in about 87 different places.

Even the 265's were rubbing pretty significantly and had to remove a few trim pieces just to clear them... It's all due to the -12mm offset that the HE878's have. Hope this helps out!

Well, i had 275's on there with the lift and no rubbing. I guess that offset will give me trouble then. Damn, gonna have to do some brainstorming.

From what I understand, no. Not without grinding down the calipers. Pretty sure it’s been done but required modification.

That's not correct. I checked with my dealership and they confirmed the '05 were shipped with 16's and 17's were installed at the port. So I don't see a problem. Though I'll definitely know for sure next Friday.

That's not correct. I checked with my dealership and they confirmed the '05 were shipped with 16's and 17's were installed at the port. So I don't see a problem. Though I'll definitely know for sure next Friday.

Sport Edition and Limiteds have larger front brakes, and can't run 16" wheels without modification. It's not a year-dependent thing.

Your correct it's not year dependant but trim dependant. The SR5's came with 16's on the boat and as I previously mentioned once on the dock 17's we're installed per the dealers who wanted the larger wheels. The SR5 came with 12.6 inch rotors (I mis-stated the above front rotor size) and slightly smaller in the rear. My buddies 04 runner (the takeoffs I'm buying) is also a SR5 so I'm reasonable certain there won't be an issue.

I was thinking about when I was going to try to fit 16’s. Sorry, I have a Sport with larger calipers and it was going to be a no-go for me without grinding down some of the caliper. Not sure about fitment with the smaller calipers.

Got some new tires and rims. Thought i would go a little crazy and throw on some bigger tires. Needless to say, they were too big and i had to do some front fender trimming. But other than that, i'm happy with them.

I have a 2.5 inch lift up front and 1.5 in the rear.
285 70r17 with Helo rims. It's got a -12 offset

2016 Taco shocks all 4 corner. The Taco coil-overs with UCA's on the front leveledout the body.

I like that look - mind if I ask what wheels you have mounted here? In the market and really like these.

Lift: Bilstein 5100 at 0.85

Really wanted SCS Wheels, but found these at a good price. They look really good in person. I may take the center caps out. Still have life on the tires the truck came with so decided to stick with them for now.
