Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

Went camping this weekend and finally got my 1" wheel spacers installed (not in that order)! Totally changes the look (as I had hoped). Although i'm currently getting some vibes around 50-65 MPH. I made sure they were properly torqued so I'm guessing its just the magnification of current problems after the install.

EDIT: Had to swap some pictures. Seeing these small 265/70 HT really makes me anxious to upgrade. Thinking some 295/70/17s would look pretty good.

I too have a slight vibration at around 60mph. Might take it in to get a tire rotation and balance.

Looks nice. I presume you have the Daystar 2.5/1.5 and the tires are 275/65/18? Do you have any rubbing with that combo? Do you have Spidertrax as well? I have that setup and I am considering that same tire size.

Update for you, I did have some uca and wheel well rubbing. I bought the spidertrax, that solved uca but I ended up having to do some trimming as well.

what lift kits to choose

i got stock 05 T4R wanted to get a lift, i don't do much off road but wanted to give a truck nice look and capability to go off road if needed, do not want to go over 3" lift. Also i like Ultra Gauntlet wheel. Any suggestions please?TX

My first post. I just got my OME lift and new wheels put on. I went with the full ARB kit and 285/70/17's as recommended and put on some Spidertrax. I was actually very surprised at the amount of rubbing. I ended up doing a body mount chop and had to cut quite a bit of the front bumper and inner wheel well plastic to eliminate most of it. A new front bumper will be added in the next 6 months or so and I have the V8 so I put the heavy springs up front and medium springs in the rear. Also, the wheels are Pro Comp Series 69's.

To do (in order): front bumper, roof rack, rock sliders, back bumper...

Updated and some trails etc.. holcomb creek and dishpan springs made some sliders finally from scratch not to bad for my first ones..

Thanks man! I rub slightly on the mud flaps but not on the body mount or anything. You might have to trim slightly. Good luck, you can see more pics in my build thread etc too.

I'd say terra grapplers, the dynapros I had were junk. I can't help ya on the size though.

so i put some superflex's out back and kept the XREAS, i kno Toytec advises against it but i went and did it anyway ...
does anybody have first hand experience with these springs on their XREAS??

Help with lift kit

So I am thinking of putting a lift kit on my 4runner below and i was wondering what is a good size for front and back? I am new to this and need input. Also I don't want it to be too high or too low
