Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

I have a 07 4-runner that just had a Readylift Leveling kit (2.250") added to the front only. I'm running the stock 265/60/18 on it now, but would like to step up to the next size without modifications needing to be made to the mud guards or fender wells. Are there any suggestions? Thanks in advance!!!

Just did a little wheeling at a place near here called Little Moab, they say its where people go to test their rigs before they get to the real Moab. Got some fun pics...

I've been out to little moab. Didn't take my 4runner but we took my little brothers' and my cousins lr3.

Finally posting something up here. Before and after installing a 2.5/1.5 Daystar Lift Kit, & 265/65/18 BFG AT KO's.

Wish I had taken more pictures before the change, but it looks much better now.

Looks GREAT!! The only thing you need to do is take off the step rails and it looks perfect. I took mine off and it made a huge difference. Great job on the 4runner.

Now I need Tires....Don't want to go with spacers... I am told by the local tire guy I can get away with 275/70/17 but would like to go to 33's may look at going narrow maybe a 225/80/17 if I can find one to get some highth In the southern gumbo mud wide does not alway equal better

Looks good. Also look at the 255-75-17. They are 32's but clear everything well without spacers. This size seems to cut thru the southern mud well while still offering a good footprint on softer terrain.

With the 3" lift did you need to replace the UCA? If so what did you go with? How do you like the OME set up?

I like the OME set up a lot. Be prepared though the ride is much stiffer than stock.

I did not have to change the UCA

Thanks Ebg18T those were going to be my back up plan if I couldnt find the 80's. With 17" rims I don't have all the options the guys with 16" rims have

Yeah....that's where I am probably going to go. But it will be a few more months if I go that route. My stock suspension sucks!!!

Let me put it this way.....On the interstate you don't notice any difference; that said on a back gravel road yes

I can't comment on Icon as I have never been in a 4runner with them installed. That said I am happy with my OME lift and it has preformed as expected

I can comment on ICONs they are awesome. Get the ext travel C/Os and uniball UCAs and you will have yourself a great setup. Don't worry about the looks cool resivoir unless you are into high speed desert stuff.

But yeah ICONs you won't be sorry. Plus their customer service is exceptional. Ask me how I know

Yeah....If I still live in San Diego, the set up would be high speed desert stuff. But here on the East Coast, slow trail set up.

My whole dilema has been the same as it has been with many. Do I get something like EMU which would be a huge improvement over stock or do I save up and get a setup like ICONS, Kings or Fox which are more for Socal desert style adventures whereas EMU is more trail and slow terrain.

I'll pick brains in few weeks. I'll be ready to pull the trigger then. But ultimately, I want front and rear armour, more or less for the idiot drivers, so I know the springs will need to be heavy load.

Don't even get me started on the mods I want for the Harley Road Glide :der:

Just got the new Nitto Trail Grapplers on my 2005 4runner sport! 295/70r18, old man emu + bilstein coilovers , chromoly upper control arms , uniball joints , energy suspension , all pro off-road sway bar links, ect ect ect . I think they look pretty tough , what do you guys think?
