Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

Just curious, how do they ride at highway speeds? Tread looks good for the price. I noticed you can only get them at the Farmers Co-ops around east Tennessee.

They have them online if you're up to order them but I got hers at Tire Engineers. They ride good. Very quiet for an all terrain basically silent and no wandering etc. My impression of them is a street tire with a bit more design to the sidewall and a nice moderate all terrain pattern to get you to where you need to go on those few occasion you actually need all terrains.

Thanks for the quick response. I read some other post on them in a F150 forum and they had lots of good things to say about them. They're basically made by Cooper and that's what I put on my Taco the last time. My 03 4R is needing some new shoes very soon and I think I'll give them a try. It's probably on your post but what size did she go with and what tread design are they? I know they're Mastercraft Coursers, just curious of they're AXT, HSX, MT, and I think there's a couple more. Guys im sorry cause im sure its been asked. But whats the biggest tire I can go with on fj coils and 5500s all around w/o having to trim anything? Also will 255/75/17s fit? Again I apologize but I did a search and got a million threads with very broad info.. thnx again guys..

Most likely he meant bilstein 5100's and it depends on what you have the adjustable fronts set to with the fj coils. (Assuming theyre from a 4wd than 255/75/17's should fit just fine on the .85" setting and above).

I apologize for my ignorance but what does the 4runner look like with stock tire size(265/65/17) and the 2.5/1.5 lift and wheel spacers?

I fit 255/75/17 stock with no rubbing, now that I'm lifted They rub when at full lock in reverse. It's not bad at all though I'm use to it

Awesome thats good to go.. Jsmith my 5100s in front are at the middle setting(1.75 I think) to match with rear.. have always loved the way that tire size looks on Tacomas.. Makes sense it would look great on our 4runners.. thanks again [MENTION=98814]jsmith21[/MENTION]...

I'm shocked by how different it looks with 17x8 Countersteer Type-X's wrapped in 285/70-17 DuraTracs!





The mud flaps definitely had to go and I still rub pretty bad at close to full lock. I'm going to raise the front a bit, get an alignment, and then see how bad it is.

Yeah... seems to be at close to full lock. I haven't been able to spend much time with it since yesterday, but I'll raise the front end to where I want it, have my alignment guy do his thing, and see exactly where it rubs.

I haven't done the BMC yet, but think I may have to. I just don't know what to do with the plastic in front of the body mount. Some detailed pictures would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks! I LOVE the look! It's what I've wanted since I bought it four years ago… I just hope that I can make it work! It seems like a lot of people run this tire size… does everyone rub? It's too late for me to go with a body lift so I'm hoping that I don't have to drop to a 275/70.

Most of your rubbing should go away with your alignment, especially because you have no front liner to worry about rubbing on, your alignment should move your wheels forward a bit to clear your body mount. Before my alignment I was about a 1/4" from the body mount but cleared front plastic with no rubbing. After alignment I am clear of body mount but rubbed pretty darn good on front liner, and that's with low caster (1.6) due to stock UCA's. You should be ok after a GOOD alignment!

So the TRD center cap fit without any problem from the dust cap for the front wheels?
