Sweet. I have trd Tacoma front struts and springs and I want to put s daystar 1" net lift spacer on top. The. With stock springs out back, put trd Tacoma shocks on and then a 1.5" daystar. That's all the higher I'll go, I just don't want to run into shock travel issues like you mentioned

You shouldn't have any issues with that set up. I'm running FJ springs on the back with Daystar 1.5" spacers. You will need to replace the shock eye bushings with Energy Suspension 9.8108G or equivalent to get the shocks to bolt up to the axle.

Yeah, I did that a few weeks ago. I just need to get the daystar spacers ordered and then I'll be ready to put them on once they come in. Also, do you have any experience replacing strut mount studs? The daystar spacers I'll be getting come with extended studs

It's not hard to replace the studs but you do have to take the strut assembly apart first. The strut mount will need to be supported with a vise, larger socket, etc to keep from bending it while you drive the old studs out and the new ones in. If you haven't purchased the spacers yet, check with Wheelers Offroad. They had the rear spacers for $50. A lot of my searching turned up $80 to $100 for the same spacers.

Yep. Just like wheel studs. The metal is a lot thinner than a hub or axle flange so you have to support it.

Finished my lift 3 months ago, finally got around to posting a couple of pictures. I chose to level the truck out with a mild lift: FJ springs, 5100s all around, and 265/65/18 Goodyear Wrangler Kevlar tires (fantastic ride by the way) on stock plasti-dipped limited wheels. I was a little nervous about how the truck would ride after ditching the X-REAS, but could not be happier. Ride has been greatly improved, and I wish I had made the switch earlier. Just need a nice day to finish plasti-dipping the trim pieces....

Installed FJ coils and Billstein 5100's set at .85. I was surprised at how much lift I got in the front. I think I got more than most as it's a 2wd so no weight of front diff and it's a v6 so a little lighter than the V8. I have some rubbing on the fender liners I noticed when turning the wheel tight to one side so going to have to figure that out next. Ride so much better than the old XREAS system. Well worth it.

Front is OME 90000 / 884 with spacers. Back is 60020 shocks and Toytec superflex coils. 3/2 lift. Front still needs to settle a bit to get that even looks. Next up is new tires. Either 275/70/17 at3s or 255/75/17 idk what kind. And some spacers.

Haven't driven it much but it's smoother all round on a lot of my routine bumps in the road. They are only 10% stiffer than stock.

I have a 4Runner SR5 2007, 2WD. The only change I have made is a Wheel spacer 1.5''. I just bought a SUPREME SUSPENSION ready lift kit 3''/2''.
Im looking for what max tire size I can buy, currently I have 265/65/r17 maxxis, but I will change it after the lift, I has been looking 285/70/r17, that can fit on my 4runner? Do I need to trim of change the mud flap?
Appreciate your recommendations!

285/70/17 will rub on the fender liner, mud flap, and probably the body mount too. when i had the supreme suspension 3/2 spacer kit my 265/70/17's rubbed on everything but the body mount with 1.25" spacers

265/70 will look good on a spacer lift, it looks good on my 3"+ of suspension lift. you could do 285/70 but it'll be a lot of rubbing. a good compromise would be a 275/70/17 if they make that size in your desired tire

yea i had rubbing i trimmed the front bumper it only rubs when pretty good flex on it not bad though
