The spacers actually in most cases cause the need to the remove and cut more not necessarily to help clear keeping you from having to cut/remove. I run 1.25 spidertrax I'm not saying there an issue just want you to understand. It's pushing your tire out meaning that's a wider radius it has to swing, and the fenders are what's in the wider turn radius.
This is my current situation having to do some body mount chopping this weekend. I've got no more inner fender to trim and I'm seeing rub marks on the mount when at full turn and it sounds like it's chewing up my brand new tires and that's not happening my chick will kill me if I say I need another set..lol.

I know there had been a couple people that had issues running the old steelies cause they would rub the calipers or tight around the rotor I can't remember exactly but I believe the orig steelies had a 3.75 back space. I don't see there being a problem with these remakes at 5" and if so add a spacer, buy them in advance so you have them if you need them if not turn around and sell them or return them if new and unused ...that simple

My 2004 V6 4x4 Sport at various settings.
First, All stock:
Second, FJ Springs all around, used, miles unknown. Bilstein 5100's set at .85", Hankook Dynapro ATM - 265/70R17.
Third, same as above except raise Bilsteins to 1.75" in front:
Last, same as above but add 1.5" Daystar spacers in rear:

suggestions, I'm a newb
This is probably not the right place to post this, but I really want some 285/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers and I don't know if they will fit with a daystar 2.5/1.5" spacer lift and Spidertrax. I know I'm most likely going to trim some parts, so can someone tell me how much and what will be trimmed. And also if this is possible.

Move front fender liner forward, I used zip ties, trim body mount, 1" wheel spacers so tires don't hit uca's, then check and trim if necessary.

Yes. Use a Sawzall or a grinder with cutoff disk and trim it back. Turn the tires and trim til it doesn't rub anymore. Only takes like an inch tops.

No I didn't have access to a welder when I did it, now I just don't worry about it. That mount is plenty strong and you aren't cutting into the integrity at all, just the excess hanging off the front of it.

Been lurking for a few months, new to the forums. Bought an 06 4runner V8 Limited, black.
I want to lift it, the local place that I have to do it, shunned lifting 4runners because of the vibration some people get at different speeds. Hows everyones experience with this? Is there some things I can do to avoid this?
It seems most places around me, nobody works on 4runners, doesn't make me feel confident to get any work done by these places by any means.

?? Vibrations? I doubt they even know what they are talking about. The only time I heard of vibrations is on the FJ with the 6" drop bracket lift. I have 3" lift in front, 2" in rear and never had an issue.

Not sure what vibrations you are referring too. I am not aware of any. I had a bit of meandering in the steering after my lift but a set of aftermarket UCA and a good alignment solved that.

Hey Guys I got a 04 Runner with 17" Method wheels with 0 offset and 4.75" Backspace. I got Bilstien 5100's with the 2.5" lift on them and 4" maxtrax spindle lift. And in the rear I have all pro 3.5" lift springs and Air bags. Currently running a 265/70/17 Tire but would like something near a 34/35. Would I have to regear ? I'm V8 Auto. And what size is good 285/75/17? Or 315/70/17
I'm running 35's with stock gears. That V8 don't care! Lol. Lost a little low end but not bad at all.
