Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

Very nice! Does look significantly taller in the front. I read that you were liking the lower front end lift for better CV angles so how are they looking now at the new height?

They don’t look bad. Was stuck raising the front more to match the rear springs I wanted, sacrifice I'm willing to make.

They actually dont look bad. Was just curious if you were going to keep them at the new height. Its a compromise we all make, much like DD'ing 33s. Ive had mine way too high and nearly level (c/o are adjusted low now) but will be replacing both soon as the boots have been ripped for years. Lol

Planning to leave it where it is at the moment; It's level and looks good. Only problem is I'm getting a rubbing sound when I gun it around a corner (think it's just the boots at this point, haven't gotten an alignment yet, could be camber/toe issue tho)) Passenger side started leaking more grease though, should prob. address it at some point

I wouldn't be opposed to a shorter rear coil if it offered 'enough' travel but I think I have the shortest LT spring available unless I go custom. Rear shocks go on Saturday, we'll see how much flex I get.

Got all that space in the wheel well now... time for 35s ;)

As per request, here are a few different shots of the 4runner.

Ive experienced the same a few times and also attributed it to the worn/rubbing bellows as well. More predominant is the BM rub I get past 3/4 on my drivers side. Ha.

Ive experimented so much with the push-pull relationship of LCA vs UCA caster (had it up to 5.5 degrees, UCA +, and now back to 3, only LCA) because ive yet to to do the BMC and my drivers UCA cam bolt is seized. Im losing that battle even with 33s at the lowered height, which is closer to a stuff when compressed at higher heights.

Also I love the idea of 35s, just not the regearing and required trimming. My rig is 95% street at this point anyway. Who knows though, past 200k, anything is possible. Can't wait to see you stuff them though[emoji41]. Love your build.

How's the ride? I looked hard at the BP-51s, but ended up getting Kings primarily because OME wouldn't tell me travel specs on the BPs

First post, been lurking here for awhile.

-Toytec Ultimate 3" Front 5100 Coilovers
-SPC UCAs
-Superflex Rear Springs
-5100 Rear Shocks
-Fat Pats 1.5" Body Lift (might remove when time comes for tire change down the road)

-Level 8 MK6 17x9 -12 offset wheels
-Falken Wildpeak LT285/75/17 (34s)

Would like a bumper soon but I'll wait until I actually get to start using the truck lol (as you can see, most photos in a driveway, full time work/student life...)

Looks great!

I'm a little lost on the reasoning on going from a 265 to 255/75 tire. Can someone explain the benefits? I figured moving from stock tire 265/65 to 265/70, 275/75 and up had better benefits.

Looks like you probably had XREAS...hoping you sent it out with a bang:biggrin2:

Ride is amazing versus the 100k mile old stock xreas. When I get the armor after a few paychecks I'll probably make sure it's a little more level than it is now.

Otherwise I'm very happy with it. Start to a long project.

Diggin' the YT! My buddy has a Jeffsy and loves it. Wish all bike manufacturers would follow their lead in direct sales.

Oh yea...truck looks good too. Maybe stepping up to that size after my 33s wear out. Gotta ask, 9" width, -12 offset and 285/75s...how much are you rubbing the BM?

I'm trying to talk my buddy into buying a Jeffsy, definitely incredible bang for your buck with their bikes.

Rub on the BM? HA!....yeah it rubbed a lot, it's chopped back quite a bit and caster is forward as much as it can go while keeping the rest of the alignment in spec. I also had to trim the front bumper a bit (going steel anyway so it's whatever for now), took off running boards and removed all mud flaps. I actually cut the edges off of the rear mud flaps and placed them back on so that it covers the hole they leave on the inner rear bumper so that rocks and crap don't fly up in there and it doesn't rub.

The Jeffsys are nice. Nice looking new options too. Got an "old" Stumpy Evo (before they all had Evo geo) and will be looking hard at them on my next bike. Buddy is unloading an Evil Following too and always had a soft spot for their rear linkage/progressive suspension curve.

And that sounds more like it on your rubbing. Haha. Sounds like youve got the "ready for 35s" rounded BMC. Ive yet to do mine. I know the Falkens run big for their size too. Curious if you've tweaked the UCA caster with any other BJ orientation besides the standard setting on top of your maxed out lowers? Def seems to be a sweet spot on my truck anyway.
