Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

Thanks! Really just want to bring it down another 1/2" because as soon as I load my bikes on the rack and riding gear into the trunk I look nose-high :jump:

Also have 07 Limited with ICON Coilovers cranked up to sit level. Although it looks absolutely fantastic with it's even stance, the ride is real rough and my CV Axles won't stop breaking.

What did you do about this? I've looked into correcting this with a body lift but many say to stay away from this?

Have to agree with you on the rougher ride, another reason I'm going to go back down a little bit. As far as the CVs go, I haven't had any issues. I haven't installed a diff drop either but my angles aren't anything crazy. They were replaced 4,000 miles ago when the lift went on, though...maybe my time just hasn't come yet.

Body lift I don't know what the big hate on them is. If you're on King resi's or something wild and out hitting the whoops on them constantly you'd probably shatter the body lift pucks and slide the body off the frame, but normal every day use and off-roading you're more than fine. I'm going to remove mine though because I don't have a need for it anymore after going from a 34" tire to a 33" and it'll give me more bumper options and avoid having a 1.5" gap between the bumper and fenders.

How much did you adjust the coilovers to get that height? I thought these were good for up to 2 inches of lift?

They're advertised as coming preset at 2" lift. This is just what my measurements happened to be straight out of the box. I haven't adjusted them yet. There's plenty of thread on the body to get at least 3" of lift with these.

A black 06+ with SR8s... I'm feeling some regret (and a tad bit of jealousy). That is one awesome looking runner.

I had to remove mud guards and do some trimming of the fender liners & front bumper, was hitting my body a tad but my alignment guy took car of that, now I clear everything with no rubbing at all :)

Some updated photos of my '07 Limited. Now on VTX Vipers and 295/70/17 Falken MT01s. Toytec Ultimate set at 3" and a 1.5" body lift. I'll be adjusting back down to 2.5" in the front though for more rake, I adjusted it up to compensate for a steel bumper I was going to order but things got in the way:blah:

I assume no full size spare?

Question for y’all

Current setup is 5100’s all around. Stock setting on them. OME 885’s up front, superflex rears, 1” BL.
Numbers are, from ground -
Front driver - 39 1/2
Front pass - 39 5/8
Rear driver - 41
Rear pass - 41

I don’t really “visibly” notice that rake but I guess I have it... my question is this -

If I set the billies up to their first notch (not EXACTLY recommended with My springs but I’m not too worried about that). Do y’all think I’ll be sitting level or be dealing with reverse rake without a 1” rear spacer?
Thanks in advance!

Some nice setups on here! New to the forum just thought I would put my “wife’s” 4th gen up that I’m slowly but surly building up.

5100’s all the way around superflex in the rear toytec coils up front, some 17” wheels and 285 duratracs I found on CL for dirt cheap! ARB skids on the way... Basically a budget build.

Front lift 5100 on .85, toytec spring 112620 and 1/4” plate spacer
Rear lift 5100 and 895
Wheels level 8 17x8 -10 offset
Tires 285/70r17 falken wildpeak at3w

What I would have done differently, gone with a heavier weight spring in the front. Rode great till I added the winch/bumper. Now it’s a bit divey. Was thinking of bumping the 5100 up to 1.75 to compensate, unsure how that would affect the ride.
