I am thinking the cause of the driver side lean to be 1" is due to the passenger Rears not sitting correctly. I would advise against buying Moog FJ coils if you don't want to mod the rears to get it seated. That being said.. I went back to the drawing board and ordered the Toytec Superflex rear coils and a 1/4 top plate spacer to throw on the front driver side (if theres a lean). I will probably have some rake with the bilsteins set at .85". Might adjust to 1.75" to level out the car.

Thanks for responding. Im not sure what you mean by get it seated? The 4runner I’m about to purchase has rear air suspension (RAS) instead of coils in the rear, so i was thinking about leaving the RAS and just upgrading the shocks with the bilsteins. Have any thoughts on using bilsteins with the RAS? Im not 100% sure this will work as I think it will.

Also, I wanted to use the fj coils in the front to capitalize on the lift they provide so i wouldn’t have to use a spacer in the front to level and remove the rake. Since you would advise against the fj coils, would you suggest a simpler solution such as a daystar or similar front leveling kit instead?

Had to do a move the fender skirt up a little forward previously to help with rubbing before the lift, but it still rubbed sometimes. With the lift, there's no rubbing. Definitely loving the new suspension. This truck has 222K miles on it, and I have a feeling it was still on the original suspension.

Swapped the Moog fj for the toytec superflex today. I still have a 1" difference on the driverside lean. I'm going to adjust the front to 1.75" to level out the car. I'm also going swap the driver/passenger coil to see if it'll fix the lean. If the swap doesn't work I'm going to install a toytec top plate spacer and call it a day

Anyone ever buy an OME kit from Rocky Road? they seem to have some nicely priced kits including their new upper control arms.
They list their kits by either medium duty or heavy duty. Nothing for light duty.

Ive heard the customer service sucks, but maybe one of you bought something from them.

I currently have a 2.5/1.5 lift on my 06 4x4. The tires are BFG KO2 265/70/17's and there's plenty of room. I'm about ready for some new tires and was looking at Cooper at3 XLT 285/70/17. Is there any reason this wouldn't work? What would be the limiting factor? what is usually the first cause of rubbing? According to the dimensions list on Cooper's site, the overall tire diameter and width would only increase by an inch. It appears that I have that much room, is there something i'm missing?

I have 285/70/17 toyo RTs on my 05 4runner. only rubbing is the body mount but that can be easily fixed with a cutting wheel/grinder. Definitely worth the upgrade from 265s

That's good info, thanks! the tires i'm looking at are a tiny bit smaller than your toys, so I might get away clean. Are your wheels offset at all?

That's good info, thanks! the tires i'm looking at are a tiny bit smaller than your toys, so I might get away clean. Are your wheels offset at all?

I have XD addicts 17x9 -12 offset. trimmed the plastic fender liner and it fixed it besides being at full steering lock. I just got Spidertrax 1.25 spacers for the front and it rubbed like hell until I did the body mount chop. Took maybe 45 min to prep and finish. It still rubs a little when cranking the wheel or when I bottom out the shock, but it's not too bad.

Adjusted Bilsteins to 1.75 from .85 and installed the toytec superflex with a 1/4 spacer on front driverside to correct the lean. I should have went for the 1/2 top plate spacer since my lean was 1" difference. Still satisfied.

Now time for some wheels and tires! Thinking of TRD pro wheels with 265/70 falken wildpeak a/t3w tires

Hello All! Long time watcher, finally joining conversation.
Our 06 sport edition! Bought it in 2008 with 47kmiles now has 209k has. My DD for outside sales, brought all three of our boys from the hospital and so much more. Part of our family! As she rides now....weathertech mats through out. 3 car seats. Yakima bike racks, and mega warrior.
